"Advert was for a stand-alone version of MS Publisher 2013. What was provided was a cloned version of an entire MS Office Suite 2013 which needed to be burned onto a CD (along with a new serial number) so that the existing installation could be removed and reinstalled again from that burned disk in order to add Publisher. I THINK NOT. This was not what was indicated in the advert or in the chat session I had before purchasing where I explained exactly what I wanted. Attempts to connect with Customer Support futile. No support. Lots of follow up advertising however. Rip-off artists - they have my 100 GBP and I have a file to burn on a CD. Bullshit. "
"I was really over and done with searching for Word for Mac on other sites, and then sometimes getting only PC results. My Chat Lady on another site told me "We only have PC," and I had to deduce by passage of time that that was the end of our chat.
CONTRAST the Customer Service Supreme Experience I had on GET MSO with Support Specialist ANNA. Anna knew her stuff, the products the Mac Versions with all the crazy names, and so on. Perhaps nicest was that the essence of a quality person and gifted professional came through. Went the extra mile in everything, for example, answering my questions responsively and thoroughly, and then providing additional bonus information she thought might be helpful.
Part of me wanted to continue shopping price-wise, but in that polite British (I think) way, and doing her employers proud, Ms. Anna wanted to close the sale -- not in an overbearing way, but she was not giving up the ship without sharing nuggets to know, and affirming her readiness to help.
That's as good as it gets when you're shopping, especially online. I mulled that truth over and then dramatically almost-out-loud said to myself and my empty room, "SOLD!"
ANNA EARNED MY SALE, and made me a customer, through being an excellent "face" of GET MSO. She was really good at her job.
It's similar to my feelings of loyalty and satisfaction I have about Apple. Their iMacs cost more than PC desktops, but the products are better, and the people part, well, that is what really wins me over every time. They hire smart: knowledgeable, personable, responsive, and committed to your customer experience.
It's the people at Apple, and the people like Anna who, who remind me that Bots will never really rule the world. Not with superstars in sales and support who go the extra mile and make you feel valuied.
My anecdotal experience says you will do okay, super-okay, shopping for your software at GET MSO. So stop clicking. This is the place.
