"We could not have been happier with Go Ahead Tours. Every aspect, from the beginning of our research for our trip to Italy, to our return home, was personally handled with efficiency and kindness. We felt as if we were the only customers because our every inquiry, need and desire were met with personal attention. Never once did a question go unanswered or a need not met. The tour and tour director far exceeded our expectations. We will only book future tours with Go Ahead Tours. They're the BEST!!!!"
"Trip to Ireland was absolutely the best vacation I have ever taken. The people of Ireland were so warm and welcoming and lively. The tour director was awesome as was all the places we visited. Can't wait to start saving and planning my next trip!"
"We've done three tours with Go Ahead so far- Germany to Budapest; Italy; and Australia to New Zealand to Fiji! All great. Scotland and Ireland are next in two months.
The tour guides have All been very good and very knowledgeable. We of course have our favorite but I would go again with any of them. "
"Everything happened more or less as planned, with a minimum of muss and fuss. Our tour leader was very thorough in telling us what to expect and how we could as a group get through some of the in-country flights, bus trips, and etcetera with a minimum of fuss. The trip was great; we had a wonderful time.
We did miss out on one of the excursions, because of timing issues. Our tour leader notified GoAhead, as did we once we returned home. They agreed to refund us the cost of that excursion without fuss; the refund showed up on our credit card a few days later."
"This was an amazing trip from start to finish. The Go Ahead staff before the trip was extremely helpful and while we were there were amazing. They called afterwards to see how the trip went. I really enjoyed travelling with them, so much so that we have booked our next trip for next year already."
"We have travel with go ahead 3 time, we have enjoyed every trip because of their ptofessionalism and the wonderful tour guides. Every aspect of the trip is well planned and orchestrated to make the trip an amazing experience. We love to travel with Go Ahead we intend to continue traveling with them."
"Phenomenal to be able to see the number of sights / locations that we did, without having to worry about any of the logistics. The tour directors, local guides, and bus drivers made it easy for us to focus on our trip and learn a lot along the way."
"The Australia, New Zealand and Fiji trip went well beyond our expectations. Even though there was a major delay with the airlines that Go Ahead did nothing to rectify, once we were there the trip was phenomenal. We saw everything we wanted to see and much more. From the Fairy Penguin Parade, to Alice Springs, Uluru and a trip in the bush everything was sensational. My personal favorites were swimming in the Great Barrier Reef, Sydney Harbor, and most of New Zealand especially the shire set from the Hobbit. The only trip that I would skip was the one to Milford Sound. Long harrowing ride that took the entire day. Fiji was wonderful. Three relaxing days after 3 weeks of non stop touring. And Go Ahead out did themselves with the hotel. The Sofitel was excellent. Our guide for Australia and New Zealand was one of the best. Sladana was a wealth of knowledge and always upbeat and ready to go. She had lots of suggestions for different excursions and restaurants."
"We had originally signed up for an earlier January 2016 tour of Australia and New Zealand. After we had made full payment and I called you with a question, did you inform us that you cancelled that tour. If I had not called you, were you ever to notify us of your cancellation?
The tour guide, Sally Innes, worked very hard and was excellent.
Maybe one less day in Queensland, New Zealand and one more day in Sydney, Australia. I did enjoy the tour."
"Our January, 2015 trip to Viet Nam, Cambodia, and Thailand was thoroughly enjoyable. 22 "intrepid" travelers walked, hiked, climbed, and otherwise explored Saigon, Danang, Hanoi, and Siem Reip (Ankor Wat), and a bit of Bankok. Although all the hotels were superior, our stay on the beach in Hoi An may have been the most relaxing and pleasant hotel stay on the trip.
We enjoyed good tour guides in all the countries, but our tour leader in Viet Nam, "James" was especially engaging and well spoken about the culture and long history of his country. He quickly determined individual needs of the people in the group, and was adept at accommodating them without inconveniencing the group. Today's politics and economics of the country are somewhat "murky", but we found the people to be very friendly and welcoming to Americans!"
"Went on the Antarctica expedition, amazing!"
"This by far was one of the best vacations I've had! I enjoyed every city I went to and loved that I was able to venture off and do my own thing. I met really great people who became like family since I was with them for the 3weeks I was traveling around Europe. This was the best way to experience a piece of Europe.
The guide was good too but could be a little rude at times. But it could've been cultural differences. Some cities I could've went without seeing and some I wish I got to stay longer.
All and all, I'm really happy I chose go ahead tours. I will definitely use them for future vacations. "
"Recently returned from truly a trip of a lifetime to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji! The trip was truly amazing from the 16 plus hours to fly there with top ranked airlines, to the tour guide, Simon, who was very knowledgeable, friendly and organized, to the sites that we saw and experienced and to the hotels that Go Ahead had booked. Our travel group, seemed as if we were handpicked as everyone got along so good. "
"We totally enjoyed our tour of the Christmas markets of Germany. We equally enjoyed the history. Travelled with a great group of people led by a perfect tour guide."
"From its colorful history to life in the present, Cultural Cuba: Havana to Cayo Santa Maria covered it all. Who could not fall into the beat of Havana....salsa away at the Buena Vista Social Club, and drink mojitos at the famous Hotel Nacional. A visit to Finca Vigia where Hemingway penned some of his most famous works to being hosted by local artists and stopping by community projects in Old Havana tied the past to the present. And oh those delightful meals at the neighborhood paradors, the fine restored vintage automobiles..... how I hated to leave! But there are other sides to this dynamic country where the tour gave pause to reflect further into the past, traveling southeast to the Bay of Pigs and wandering the streets of Trinidad, a town captured in time. Such were the gatherings at town squares where a visitor could sit with the inhabitants and connect to modern day Wi Fi or listen to a local band (You might be lucky enough to see one of the original trumpeters from Havana's Buena Vista Social Club reminiscing in Villa Clara!). The awe of the monument to Che Guevara and the history of his campaigns jolted me back from the calm of the countryside, but gave way to thoughts of the reasons for his being. Right or wrong, complacency and frustrations were turned into action throughout the nation. Cuba is a country that is fast emerging to such a degree that some of the authenticity may be buried in its soil. Seeing the evidence of much new construction as I approached the beaches of Cayo Santa Maria I realized that I had had the privilege of viewing a country where one could still reach into the past as a means of interpreting the present.
