I had a hard time deciding to go on tour because of being a solo traveler but finally stepped out and took the Israel Historic tour with extension to Jordan. "I have always been leery of prescheduled vacation tours(especially abroad). I have taken many trips to South America(in particular Costa Rica)--and have followed by own itinerary. However , this time I reconsidered the potential for major time losses in trying to determine where it is I'd be going, how long to get there(where ever that was) and in summary-I could be on the street next to my anticipated destination and pass it off as Oh well-I'm lost NEXT!!(&$%$*&%#) . My wife and I purchased the tour of France -Normandy-Brittany, Valley of Kings and Paris. I truly was inspired by the tour guides personal concern to each and every member of our group of 33. And no, the number of our group -didn't decrease the opportunity to engage the guide for desired answers to our questions- and the information was incredibly informative. The flexible schedules accommodated any -in the moment add on or side excursion --if at all possibly due-able. The accommodations were above average-meals were great(especially when I tasted the most palatable food ever -a real crape--as offered by the originators--The Brittanys' restaurants on crape row in Paris!!!!!! which I absolutely agree--the most intriguing place with history and the real historical relicts(castles-churches-famous places of the famous people(too many to enumerate). I would say without pretense--an excellent first foreign vacation -is rated A+ I just had the (TIME of my life)-just absorbing in the nuances of the trip and the experience--what more can you ask of a tour--??n'est pas? By the way--already signed up for next year to tour Italy(can't wait)--"

"Visited very interesting places. Stayed in charming hotels where staffs very friendly.
Guide was super -- very knowledgeable and congenial -- shared history as well as local customs. I made some true friends on this trip as well -- it was a wonderful group of people. "

"The two tours we took were great. The accommodations, for the most part, were excellent. Had one complaint regarding the hotel location in Barletta. The hotel itself was fine but the location, across from the beach in a resort area, didn't leave much to see or choices for dining, since it was out of season.
Meals that were provided were excellent except for the fact that we seldom were served vegetables or salads. When dealing with seniors, which most of us were, it's important to have vegetables. One more thing about provided meals, most Americans, especially seniors, are used to eating between 5 and 7 PM. However, these meals were more like 8 to 9 PM. When you have to stay up late to properly digest your dinner and then get up early the next day, it's quite a strain.
The tours were informative and the opportunity to to take some real beautiful pictures was great.
The buses were comfortable and the drivers amazing. Tour directors were extremely knowledgable and always had time for your questions and concerns.
I would recommend GoAhead to all my friends and family."
