"My trip to Italy was my first trip with Go Ahead Tours. It was fantastic. The tour director had so much knowledge. The food was great and the people on the tour were so much fun. I loved Italy and hope to go again with Go Ahead. If I could say one thing, it is the cramped seating of the airline we went on. We spent 8 or 9 hours on the plane. But aside from that everything else was great."
"We had a wonderful tour guide Masa, with us and she really made our trip. We saw wonderful old walled cities, riding from town to town in a really nice bus. We stayed in good hotels. Only had a complaint about the first one which was too far out of town away from the old town of Dubrovnik. We loved the national park and the cities we visited, all historic and beautiful. The only other bad thing was that after arriving at the airport in Dubrovnik after traveling all night with no sleep, we were forced to wait until another plane arrived to go to the hotel in very uncomfortable surroundings."
"I have taken 3 trips with Go Ahead Tours and plan to do so again. It is difficult to fully express the full satisfaction I experienced because I have absolutely NOTHING NEGATIVE to share. It is unusual for many travelers to make such a statement.
My first decision was to travel alone and then the destination. That was the only difficult decision I had to make. I enjoyed my first trip The Grand Tour of Italy so much that I took it again and found out each day I learned something totally new. The tour directors were so full of history, architecture, art, cuisine and of course local stories that made each day of this tour exciting and fulfilling.
The Rural Landscapes of Great Brittan was again, a tour that I had dreamed of and it was everything I had hope it might be. Our tour director was full of all the previous mentioned gifts as well as a warm and welcoming gentleman with such a sense of humor and a great amount of patience. It was truly an enriching travel experience.
I have made a number of new friends through Go Ahead Tours and we keep I touch often. I have recommended these and others tours in their catalog and I can't wait to take my next one."

"Our first tour with Go Ahead was to Egypt with our newly married daughter and son-in-law. At the conclusion, sitting around the pool at the hotel in Giza, he said "This is the best trip I have ever taken!" Astonished, we said "What about your recent honeymoon to Tahiti and Fiji?" He said "This was a different kind of trip." We all enjoyed it and experienced so much that we all took the Galapagos and Macchu Pichu tour together. Our guide in Egypt was spectacular. Before the tour we listened to the 48 half-hour lectures on Egypt from the Great Courses. As we toured the ancient sites, I continually told the others that our guide was incomparable. Likewise the guides in Ecuador and Peru were superb."

"I have had excellent service and tours with Go Ahead. My personal contacts with your office, me contacts with you by email and my experiences with your tour directors have been excellent.
My main concern is that too much is packed into the tire, and as I get older, I need to have some resting time. For example the day long tour to Machu Piccu, from waking to returning to our hotel was about 18 hours and very little time actually spent at the wonderful place of Macchu Picchu. I would rather have one extra day on a tour, and perhaps in this case could have overnighted in Machu Picchu town and returned the following day. Far too busy for aging peo;e…."
"Our European Tour was fantastic. We enjoyed all of the tours and the meals at the hotels. We highly recommend this tour to others. Be ready to keep the pace set by the tour guides which is steady, but not overwhelming. There was some downtime built in for you to do some exploring on your own or rest if needed. Take as many of the optional tours as you can to get a full flavor for each city."
"I enjoyed the tour immensely, from the accommodations and meals to the scenery and tour guides. I particularly appreciated Alex, the overall tour guide. He was funny, smart, and very cool. I did not like the way my tickets were sent to the friend who accompanied me whose way I paid. I did not like it that all hotel rooms were booked in her name, nor the way she has received recent mailings, such as a book of 2014-2015 tours,while I have received none. I do not understand why that happened, and I am hurt and frustrated by it."
"Went to Venice, Florence and Rome with Go Ahead. The tour was great. Our guide kept us on schedule and gave us tips for sight seeing on our own. I was enrolled in an online course and ws deathly afraid my lap top would "blow up". Everything was fine with my european adapter. Loved the visit to wine country and the Vatican. The Vatican is incredible as were the other basilicas we visited. It was good to have a guide provide the history behind many places you seen on TV or read about.The restaurants selected by Go Ahead had the worse food I've ever tasted. It was disappointing not to have really tasty Italian food. Hotel room in Venice was very small with a tiny bathroom and no TV reception to speak of. It was good the hotel was in walking distance from the beach. Lots of walking and stairs. If you can't climb stairs and walk up and down inclines find a trip to accomodate you. Older building in Italy and many do not have elevators. We traveled in June which was warm but not unbearable. This was an enjoyable and educational trip spare the food."
"Go Ahead Tours has been a pleasure to travel with. I have traveled 3 times in the past 4 years with Go Ahead and I plan to travel again with them either this year or next. With all the trips I have taken I have learned something new about myself and traveling. I know what types of tours are good for me. The Tour Directors have been great, very knowledgeable, courteous and hospitable. The tours have all been excellent. The hotels have all been very nice, some quaint and some large and modern, they were all a good mix. I prefer the quaint ones but the more modern were a nice change as well. The people that travel with Go Ahead have been very nice, we made some very nice friends on our tours and have keep in touch with some of them over the years. I enjoy looking through the catalogues and I look forward to my next tour with Go Ahead."
