"Absolutely the worst company ever. Ordered 6 items. 2 scheduled to arrive on October 24th and arrived on October 17th. The 4 others were supposed to arrive on the 17th. On October 29th I received an empty box with their return address. When I called about this they insisted that it wasn't my items because they would be coming from a manufacturer not them. After 4 phone calls each time kept on hold for about 15 minutes I was told that that was part of the order (2 of the 4 remaining) and that they would put a rush on the remaining to and a reorder of the two that were supposed to be in the empty box. I was guaranteed it would all arrive on November 4th. On November 3rd 2 of the 4 items arrived and they told me after waiting on hold another 15 minutes that the rest would take an additional 2-3 weeks. At this point I asked for a prepaid return label to return what I have received. Unfortunately the invoice to include with it listed the items that I had not yet received so if I were to use that it would look as if I kept the 2 items and therefore I would be charged for them. So, lesson learned. Golf Smith is not competent and should never be used for any purchases. Trust me, even if they are the cheapest use someone else because cheap items that never show up aren't really worth it!"

I don't know who is running things there, when it comes to online ordering, but they need to take a lesson from just about anyone else. I ordered a few miscellaneous items initially, small items, and they came in several shipments, some on time, some terribly late. Tried again to order some shoes, and was kept waiting and waiting. I finally tried to call, but with each attempt, I was left holding for almost 20 minutes before hanging up. I finally sent a nasty email, and that seemed to get their attention. They replied by saying the shoes had been out of stock for some time, but their inventory had not been updated. They proceeded to make it up to me, by sending me a promo code for a discount,which was not applicable to any other shoes! Are you still with me? They corrected that mistake by sending me an e-gift certificate for 25 dollars. I used it to buy one glove, and one pack of tees. A week later, I finally got the tees in the mail, but still no glove. It seems on the upside, they have kept their customer service stateside, but are they shipping from India? That's it. Last time for me. You can get the same small stuff at Dicks, and there are many online options for clubs. I used Golfclubs.com for a recent purchase. Even had a problem (manufacturing, not them) that they rectified in a flash. Great customer service there. Listen up, Golfsmith!"
"My Local GolfSmith has friendly and for the most part knowledgable staff. Never pressured to buy the most expensive thing if its not truly what i need. My online experience however has been nothing short of hell. For those who live in the northeast, their customer service reps may be second only to Comcast in complete lack of ability. Attitude for days, half assed answers, and seem to be extremely annoyed every time i call. If there was a 0 star rating for my online order customer service available i would use it. If you are going to offer products and then drop ship from the manufacturer you need to be prepared to deal with the backlash of the manufacturer being delayed and most definitely find a way to get customers a tracking number. 8 Days and counting from when i ordered my STANDARD LENGTH, STANDARD LIE, STANDARD SHAFT Irons."
"Golfsmith sold me a used GPS watch that is registered with another user. Unfortunately to get it sent for replacement would cost me almost half of the purchase price. Now I am stuck with a product that I can't access half of the feature (because I am not the registered user) and no solution has been action after numerous of emails with golfsmith and the manufacturer Golfbuddy. Very poor online shopping experience with Golfsmith"
"Canceled a order week and a half ago and the still called me to pick up the golf clubs after I had already found them and bought them from Carl's golfland. They still have not refund my card. I can't even remember how many times I have called them and it seems as if no one knows or cares either way I will never purchase anything from them in the furtue. Can I please have my money back????"

"HORRIBLE RETAILER! They like to ship out one item in an order then wait a week to tell you the other item in the order has been cancelled thus forcing you to pay full shipping cost for just one item, even though you ordered two and the shipping cost should be divided between the two.
Customer service is absolutely disgusting as well and one of their agents admitted that they like to deceive and scam customers but used the term "we use smart marketing tactics". The agent was also very rude and did not care one bit"
"Today, I received an invoice claiming I did not pay for the order that I placed in Jan' 12 even though It was a prepaid order via paypal. I called for clarification and experienced a horrible customer service. Instead of explaining what happened, he told me I need to call payapal to sort this out. "Placed order for sneakers to be shipped out on 5/9. On 5/14 I contacted them about it and was told that they could no longer ship the item and when questioned if someone was going to notify me, I was told that their new computer systme would not do that, so the answer was NO. No apologies or attempt to keep as customer, so needless to say that I will not be. HORRIBLE!"
"I tried ordering a driver from golfsmith and it was a mistake. Nothing but trouble after placing my order.
When I placed the order there was a slight delay in shipping (3-4 days) and I was OK with that at the time. I received an order confirmation and everything looked good. After a week of no further correspondence, I contacted them to find out where my order was and when I could expect it. I was told my order had been missed (my credit card had not) and they would make sure the item would be shipping the next day. Fine.
When the box arrived it was the wrong driver! So I had to call and request a return label. The guy I talked to wanted to know the problem. I told him what I received wasn't what I ordered and I needed to return it. His response was "what's the difference?". The difference is I ordered a driver and you sent me a different driver. "Is that a problem?" YES!! It was almost like he was trying to convince me to keep what they sent me instead of receiving what I actually ordered. After a little back and forth on the matter, he emailed a fedex return label to me.
After returning the club (and Golfsmith receiving it) I waited for the refund to hit my credit card. After 9 days I decided to contact them via email. I received a reply stating there were problems with their system that prevented my credit card refund but the credit was on my Golfsmith account. I wasn't notified of any problem, I received no email or phone call prior to this stating there was a problem yet they have all of my contact information. They basically just sat on my money and waited. I had to call, was put on hold for over 30min, and was finally able to get the rep to move the credit from my Golfsmith account to my credit card (the refund I originally wanted) -BUT- was told it would take 5-10 days!!
It took Golfsmith 1 day to charge my credit card but it has taken them over 20 days to refund my money (for a club that I didn't order).
I will never buy anything from this company!! One Star is too high!!"
"I tried this company in November for a pair of golf shoes--twice. The first pair never arrived and although I received no communication from Golfsmith, when I contacted them to find out why they were not delivered as promised I was told that they were on indefinite backorder. I was also told they have no alert system to notify customers when an order fails, but they helped me select a different pair of shoes and promised to expedite shiiping on the next business day. Nearly a week later I got an email telling me the new shoes would be delivered oon or about MARCH 22! Four months later! Again, no communication from GOlfwmith as to why they would not meet the December 21 delivery date as promised. When I cancelled the order, they had the nerve to say they "look forward to my future business"--why in the world would I ever try to use them again??? Stay away from this unreliable, uncommunicative vendor--there are much better places to spend your money."
