"Navis was the sole shipping partner (monopoly) for an online auction I bid in. It was impossible to have any ballpark pricing information as the shipping weight was unknown prior to signing their contract, everything was just a guess. Moreover they had me guess and itemize everything by size and weight- for an auction over 1000 miles away. Wow, what service! I get to do their job for them! In the end what was expected to cost $200-300 eventually cost $1100 due to unexpectedly high weight. I absolutely would have been able to ship all of this for about $300 in several USPS flat-rate boxes which are flat rate for weight up to 70 lbs. They use their own service which puts everything in one big package. Upon delivery, which took about a month to go halfway across the country, signature was required and delivery hours were restricted to during business hours. Won't be using them ever again nor will I be bidding on similar auctions. Learned that lesson. Hope you have lots of money and don't have a job if you have to use Navis! Really it's set up for commercial customers and that's it."
