"Wow not much room to add details.
My caution to anyone is:
1, Don’t bid on something out of your area, as you may get stuck paying fees and have weeks of frustration. When you try to do everything correctly.
2. Any contact with customer service either record or follow up in writing so you have proof of your conversations. "
"Won auction, sent funds less than 24 hours after, still waiting days later for them to verify they have the funds. Multiple calls to their call center, getting conflicting information. Getting threatening emails that they are going to void the bid due to nonpayment. Absolutely horrible experience, from payment to problem resolution. "
"I won two separate auctions (ending at same time) for 846.90 dollars. They were supposed to be mailed and I never received them. I have contacted the seller and Govdeals over 10 times, neither has responded so I finally had no choice but to dispute the charges. "
"These are Crooks they let anyone on there auction site to scam other people I got scammed at a 17,000 please do not do business with these people"
"There are two types of sellers on this site. One is government entities that are extensively honest about the items they sell. Others are independent sellers who are taking advantage of buyers with false descriptions and deceptive testimonials.
I bought two vehicles on this site. First was a van from the Army Air Force Exchange, which was as described and a good purchase. The second vehicle was a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder from an independent Auto seller, JP Auto Wholesaler in Florida. Every the detail he provided was a lie. It was NOT a repo as he advertised all his vehicles, Mileage? Do you know what I mean, the condition of this SUV is beyond repair Cost estimate from a dealer is $15,000.
I asked the seller and Govdeales.com to accept this junk back and refund my $13,000.
No one helped me yet.
Never again trust anything from Govdeale.com. I paid them a $1300 commission.
Their rating on every site is 2. Not good. "
"per govdeals terms i sent a money order (MO) for $1000 to remove bidding limitations. they cashed my MO and stated it wasn't received. my information was clearly written on the MO along with payees info and notes in the memo stating it was a refundable probation deposit. customer service said they didnt receive it and needed proof. so apparently they have morons working in their accounting department that cash MO's without looking at the information on the MO and giving credit to the issuer. smartly i ket my copy of the receipt or else they would just keep my money even though the serial number on the MO shows it had been cashed. This MO has been cashed weeks ago, i already emailed them a photo copy of the receipt and still call them every day to ask the status and why is my money being held hostage. customer service states accounting hasn't gotten back to them and noone can speak to them because they work at home remotely and there are no managers to speak to either. i'm infuriated that a big state liquidator like govdeals and its employees conduct business in this manner. the money order i sent was to be held in a separate account for 60 days and refunded back to me. This is not their money, i do not owe them anything so why are they stealing my money! i will be contacting the states attorney, filing a police report for theft, and taking these clowns to civil court. i have won govdeals auctions, paid for and picked up items from sellers on govdeals without any problems. the problem is when you send them money to bypass their probation tier limits. in conclusion. DONT TRUST GOVDEALS WHEN SENDING A DEPOSIT. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. "
"Bought a 2015 f-250 the description said, great maintenance records, only needs a tune up. But in reality it had a broken valve, the seller knew it because when It arrived it had new coils new sparkplugs and a new mas air sensor oh there was also "No Maintenance records' I got in touch with the seller they said contact govdeals when I contacted them they said it was on the seller. They lied in the product description as there was more details i left out praising this truck. I bought it based on the lies they provided. Now I'm 10k in a truck that needs 5k of work done just to be able to drive it!

"The sellers on govdeals literally act like cops the way they write their "sellers terms". We all should get as many people as we can to bid on as many items as possible and outbid everyone then simply refuse payment. I mean were not going to use them anymore anyway and if we can cause them a little aggravation why not?"
"No reserve auctions and need sellers approval....biggest joke ever!!!"
"Trash Double Trash worst experience ever "
"Recently I won few NO RESERVE auctions. But instead of allowing me to pay, I received "PENDING SELLER'S APPROVAL" email and coue of days later "SELLER NOT WILLING TO SELL AT THAT PRICE". Just to clarify.. these are NO RESERVE LISTINGS I am talking. I understand of they don't want to sell a reserve NOT MET listing, I get that.. but again, we are talking about NO RESERVE lostings. When I told GovDeals, if you dont want to sell why don't you list them as RESERVE auctions? Their answer was "DON'T TELL US HOW TO RUN OUR BUSINESS". That's very bad..."
"GOVDEALS IS A MONOPOLY, THEIR POLICY RULES ONLY PROTECT THEM AND MAKE IT VERY HARD FOR BUYERS TO SUE THEM FOR ILLICIT PRACTICES, THEY ARE KNOWN FOR UNFAIR PRACTICES, THEY WILL BLOCK YOUR ACCOUNT AND MAKE YOU PAY A HEFTY FINE, AND THEY DO NOT GET INVOLVED WHEN PROBLEMS ARISE BETWEEN BUYER AND MUNICIPALITY SELLING ITEMS, IF THAT HAPPENS THE MUNICIPALITY WILL JUST CANCELL YOUR ACCOUNT , SO NO IT IS NOT LIKE EBAY, WHO WILL INTERCEDED FOR THE BUYER IF HE GETS SCAMMED. ALSO GOVDEALS MAKES ALOT OF EXCEPTIONS FOR SOME BUYERS, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO BUY ALOT, GOVDEALS WILL ALLOW THEM TO OPEN NEW ACCOUNTS AND LETS THEM BID AND BUY EVEN AFTER THEY HAVE HAD THEIR PREVIOUS ACCOUNTS CANCELLED . AND NO ONE CAN COMPLAINT OR SUE THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE BASICALLY THE ONLINE AUCTION SERVICES THAT MOST MUNICIPALITIES ARE USING AND THEIR POLICIES ARE VERY WELL ESTABLISHED IN ORDER TO BE UNTOUCHABLES. BUYER BEWARE."
"I bought items for years, always item that you buy, isn't described correct,You pay,get item, keys are lost, item has conditions, that agency forgot to mention. GovDeals will say, that they just provide site,to sell, and you must take up with listing agency, and they pass, back and forth. So if you want waste money, and buy a tax bought item, that's junk, this site is for you. Be advised,GovDeal, will always have the "Pay,or we'll block you" warning. On ready,as if it's a concern, there's plenty other honest web auctions."
"I have used Govdeals for 4 years, bought roughly 30 vehicles and have ALWAYS paid. They had a system Error on their auction, which they don't tell buyers people about.
I did not know this and they want to charge me for the vehicle, which I did not want and absolutely no one at Govdeals will help you.
I have sent 3 emails with screenshots.
Zero help.
The seller didn't have any problem and cancelled, but Govdeals just wants your money and doesn't give a damn about loyal customers.
They pass the buck. Don't buy from them. Period."
"GOV. Deals is the worst experience I ever had buying a vehicle. The person that sold me this ambulance clearly lied about several things in the description and Gov deals refused to do anything even tho there is a clear warranty about the description. I feel left out in the cold. The only trust I had was the description warrenty which was not honored. The description states the air blows cold, it does not. The description states that the tires are in good shape. I had to have one tire changed out before I left for Tampa from Davie, a 4 hour drive. There are three more tires that are at the end of life. The Owner answered another prospective buyers question as to, Is there any rust? The answer was no, but there is plenty of rust. I will never use gov deals again and I will be spreading the word."
