"Great products good service"

"Great response to our order and everybody loved them. We are about to order some more. Very happy."

Hi everybody,

We organised an event for a charity this year and were happy to find attractive products and prices on Gowristband.co.uk.

But what was a good deal at the beginning, ended up to be a financial nightmare.

Our order got blocked at the Irish customs although Gowristband.co.uk had specifically told us that we would not get any extra charges. (We have a copy of the Chat exchange)

It took two weeks for Gowristband.co.uk to eventually send us their original invoice and get our order released from the customs.

Here are the numbers, make up your mind by yourselves:

- 21 dollars = Amount that Gowristband payed to their Chinese supplier (We have the POP)

- 323,28 pounds = Amount we were charged by Gowristband - This includes 48,28 pounds express delivery...

- 150,90 euro = Amount paid to the customs to release our order

- 2 weeks = Delay of the order. These were very crucial weeks as we missed several events where we were supposed to sell most of our wristbands

- 97 pounds = The amount Gowristband accepted to refund us.

This leaves us with a total charge for our charity of:

439,24 euro = 344,57 pounds.

To this charge, we must add the fact that we had only one week and a half before the event to sell all our wristbands.

Gowristband was poorly supportive during the 2 weeks our order was blocked. Moreover, their refund doesn't even compensate the custom's charges which is due to their misinformation + 48,28 pounds "express" delivery

We therefore strongly recommend other users to find alternative and local solutions for their events.

"The wristbands arrived as ordered, but then shortly after we got additional charges levied by FedEx to cover the custom charges of importing the goods.
Nothing of these costs was mentioned on the website, and it wasn't even clear that they were being delivered from abroad. Everything on the website and email makes you believe it's all based in the UK.
We paid the charges and complained to Gowristbands.co.uk. They instantly responded and said they would cover the charges, and have assured us that they are forwarding on our feedback about the lack of clarity on the website to the relevant department and changes will be made.
We appreciate that they were quick in providing feedback, but it wasn't not great to have to complain about it in the first place. We will try another order with them later this year, and see if their site has improved by then."
