"Many years ago, as I would visit business, I would occasionally see a small poster in some back room (usually where customers never were invited) that would show three intersecting circles labeled Price, Quality and Quick Delivery. Below the three circles it read, "Pick Any Two." However, my experience with grillpartssearch.com was absolutely where all three circles did converge and I didn't have to lower my expectations to 'pick any two'. I ordered three new stainless steel burners for my very old grill (everyone else was selling mild steel burners) for a price that was the best. They arrived within a week. Good job, guys! "I put in the model number of my grill and ordered the replacement drip pan suggested by the site. The suggested pan was the wrong size and did not fit. In order to return the wrong part, I had to pay my own shipping cost, which they will not reimburse, and they deducted their shipping cost from my credit because "they don't know how their website could make an error", and "it's not fair for them to take a loss". It is fair to take a loss when your company makes an error, and not knowing how the error occured does not absolve you of responsibility."
“We respectfully dispute Mr. Fennel's account. Our website is designed to help customers find the correct part for their gas grill models. We list parts on specific category pages for the models they fit. The product he ordered (GPDP70013) was not listed on his model page (DYNA-GLO DGF493BNP-D) though the correct product (GPDP70012) was. Additionally, typing his model into the search does not result in the incorrect part he ordered being displayed. Additionally, all of our drip pans have a list of the models they fit on the product page. They also have links to the other drip pans with dimensions on every page. When a customer tells us our website has an error, we place a high priority on addressing it. That is why our representative tried to duplicate the error Mr. Fennel mentioned, but could not. Her response to him was not "I don't see how our website could make a mistake." (Websites don't make mistakes but the people who design them certainly can.) What she wrote (directly quoted from her her email) was "i honestly don't know how you came up with that part." And it's true, she honestly didn't. We have sold over 2,000 of these and this is the first time a customer claimed the part was listed under an incorrect model number. Even though we could not find this error on our website, Mr. Fennel was still offered a discount on his next order as a courtesy. We pride ourselves on customer service, but sometimes customers are wrong. We believe Mr. Fennel made an honest mistake but instead of recognizing it, became very angry with us and went out of his way to leave 1-star ratings on multiple review sites. Look at our overall rating to see the way we serve our customers. Thank you.”
