"Obviously I should have read some of the reviews before purchasing anything from this website.
I ordered items from www.happybabystore.com on January 10, 2010 and today (February 27, 2010) still have not received the items, have NEVER been able to speak to someone, and have never had a response to any of my emails.

THEY ARE SCAMMING people and stealing money from them. I am an attorney in Chicago and plan to do something about it. I would like to get into contact with people who have ordered from them and not received their item yet, have not received a refund, or have been shipped an incorrect item.

Please email me: ****@**** with your experience and I will be contacting the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs-Consumer Fraud Division,the New Jersey Attorney General's office and the Federal Trade Commission's Consumer Protection Division. I also urge everyone out there to do the same!

"On 1/7/2010, I ordered the Rosies Trumpette Socks (Set of 6)for $21.57 and have yet to receive them. Called direct line of ***-***-****, they do not answer, instead I got a voice mail that said they apologized for their delays and said they had hired more people and then advised the best way to contact was via email. I did this on 2/22/10 and have not heard from them. Googled on reviews for this store, an action I should have taken before ordering. I found this website and and the negative reviews...lesson learned. Intuition tells me they are heading for closure leaving alot of scammed customers. My advice? DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM HAPPY BABY STORE!"

"i should have reveiwed all of these negative comments before i place my order with happy baby store. when you read these comments they all sound the same and they all are true. I got scamed from this store just like everyone else. I placed an order and paid for it. The store gave me a receipt but no product. so i paid for a receipt. I Left emails and phone messages but no one ever got back to me. I don't know how this place can stay in bussiness. There price's are great but what good are there price's when you don't receive a product that you paid for. So i would not waste you time because that is all you will pay for. "

"It also appears to me that I have also been scammed. I also wish I would have read these reviews before ordering from happybabystore.com. I will never again buy online without searching the organisations online reviews. They debited my credit card on January 19 for the goods thst I ordered. It has been a month now and I still have not received them. I have emailed them 3 times and have never had a reply (besides their auto replies). I am in the process of recovering the money from my bank because of the non receipt of my goods. My bank said that this would take approximately 8 weeks. I understand this method of recovery is available to anyone who has made the purchase using a credit card. I have also emailed the USA Federal Trade Commission (International Affairs Division) at ****@**** to alert them to this organisation. For further information please visit http://www.ftc.gov/ and click on the International Affairs tab if, like me, you have purchased across boarders. I hope that my comments can help someone else."

"I ordered the TAGGIES Peek-A-Boo Blanket - Rubbina the Giraffe for $31.99 on January 15, 2010. It has been over a month now and I still have not received my item. I received a "Thank you for your order..." on January 15th with a receipt. I have emailed this company 3 times and still have not even received a response! They charged my credit card the same day as the purchase. I sure wish I had read these reviews before purchasing...the baby shower has come and gone and now I am out $31.99. I will probably end up taking legal action this week if I cannot get a response. I am very concerned this is a scam company...be careful. I am constantly checking my bank statements right now to make sure there is no fraudulent activity as this is not normal practice for a reputable company."

"I wish I would have read these reviews before ordering from happybabystore.com. Live and learn, right? I placed an order from this website on January 12 and received a confirmation email that my order had been received and was being processed. On January 14 my account was charged for the amount of $11.98. Today is February 10, and I still have not received the item, despite several attempts to call and several emails sent. They tell you to send an email, and then they send back an automatic reply saying to call the number for a faster response. Then you call the number and get a recording saying to email for a faster response. It's very frustrating. I will be disputing the charge on my account tomorrow."

"Happy Baby Store is completely unreliable! My mom ordered a tub seat for me on 1/11/10. On 1/22/10 when I still hadn't received the seat, I called the 1800 number and a voice recording instructed me to email my comments. When I sent my email, I received an automated response from Bob Gates with a different phone number to call. That phone number's mailbox was full and couldn't accept any more messages. On 2/3/10 I called and emailed again, this time with a bit more force and threats of filing charges with the authorities. I finally received an email from Bob claiming that they had tried to contact me (LIE...they never tried to contact me) and they were also claiming that the bath seat was "out of stock." This is an ABSOLUTE LIE because my mom ordered the same exact seat off of Amazon and we got it within 5 days (she had a feeling we weren't going to get the first one). It makes me sick to know that these people now have our account information--we're closing it as soon as we are refunded our money, whenever that will be. STAY AWAY FROM HAPPY BABY STORE!! They're frauds!! "

"worst company ever!!!!!! Stay away. I ordered a fire place safty gate on dec 16th. Like others i recived conformation of my order right away and invoice with the charge the same day. On dec 21st i request an update with a TRACKING number. They responded by saying i should have be sent that and said they sent me an email explaning the delay because of the holidays. THIS Was A LIE. I waited another week and sent another request with follow up phone calls. Ive recived a computer response within seconds. Ive sence made numorous phone calls and email and havent recived ANYTHING and they still have my Money. THis Place Is A SCAM.. STAY FAR AWAY. I will be taking action"

"Worst company ever. My order was placed on October 22nd. Since then, I have called and emailed numerous times. No one returns my calls, and I had one returned phone call (after my first to them).
Originally, they emailed me that the product I ordered was shipped. They then emailed me again saying my product would be shipped in the near future. Finally, about a month ago, I requested a refund; the company said they would refund my money. It's now two months later, and I've yet to receive a refund and/or my order.
I plan to pursue legal action in hopes of these guys getting shut down.
Terrible, terrible service/company.

"This is the slowest online order center I have ever ordered from. I placed an order on November 30, 2009. I received and email confirmation that they received my order on the same day. I received an email confirmation on the 9th that my order was shipped. Per USPS they did not received a request to pick up the order until 11th. Okay great I received my package on the 14. Very simple order 1 pink pony wubbanub and one red dog wubbanub. That's not what I got, I got the pony and a frog. So I emailed "Bob" immediately to let them know. They made an error, I have a copy of the order that I did order a dog and pony. His unprofessional email back was, return the frog (at my expense) and they will send me the dog. It is now December 15th and as slow as they are to ship things out I will never get the right thing by Christmas..Oh and the nerve to tell me to ship the frog back first....really no!!! You made the error not me, why should I pay for postage. I will never order from this company again!!!! "

"The Happy Baby Store should be shut down. I placed an order on November 20 and I have not received my order as of December 14th. I tried to contact them many times and they would not answer the customer service line or emails. I finally emailed "BOB" stating I was going to file a fraud report and he responded. He said my order was out of stock but expected a shipment soon. I need this for Christmas so I do not want to wait. I told him I would prefer a refund. He has emailed me back stating my account would be refunded. After reading the reviews on this site I am not very confident I will receive my refund but I hope I do. I hope this company does the right thing and i hope they truly are legitmate."

"THIS WEB SITE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND BANNED FROM SELLING TO THE PUBLIC! I have several emails regarding my order placed on Nov. 3 2009 and why it hasn't been shipped out to this day (Dec.1 2009). It's going on a month now! Oh em gee! You don't know how furious I am, there's got to be a better way to let people know about this web site. They are HORRIBLE and I did demand a full refund as I will make sure my credit card company is informed so I don't have to wait another month to see THAT refunded back to my acct. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEB SITE EVERRRRRRRRRRR!!!"

"Wow, I wish I would have read these reviews first. I too have ordered something and not received the item or a refund. I ordered 2 wubbanubs on Oct 25th I emailed inquiring about them on Nov. 5th and got a response from "Bob" that he was sorry but they did not have the item in stock and would I like to wait or cancel. I chose to cancel and he emailed back immediately that a refund would be issued shortly. It is now the end of the Monday following the Monday I got that email with promise of a refund. I have now sent "Bob" another email stating that I would like to know that the credit has been processed or I will be disputing with Paypal. I have never taken the time to write a bad review before but this is just horrible! Don't take a chance with them. I'm just glad I wasn't the person waiting on an $800 item.

UPDATE*****
After filing my complaint with Paypal I got a refund from the store immediately. If you want to buy something because of cheap prices use paypal and take the risk out since they seem to respond to Paypal versus caring if they retain any customer base.

"They charged my credit card on 10/07/2009, and now it's 11/11/2009 I still do not have the ottomen ($800).
Initially Bob Gates (general manager) answered my emails, promising that the products were on the way. But finally he did not even answer my e mails or phone calls.
This store is awful. They cheat. Stay away from them. Do NOT order from them. Nightmare experience.

"I ordered a monkey wub-a-nub pacifier from happybabystore.com in September. After not receiving the merchandise I called on 10/7. The lady that answered indicated that it would be in the next day and then they would ship it. I told her that if I didn't receive it by Tuesday I would call back. On 10/14 and 10/15 I called and not only was nobody available on their customer service number but the voice mail was also full (not a good sign). I will be calling again tomorrow. If I am not able to reach them and resolve this issue I will be cancelling the order and reporting them to my credit card agency as a fraudulent company. I will update tomorrow. "
