"I placed an order with HOS as I found the product to be the lowest priced on the internet. I did not receive the order for a few weeks so I called to see what was going on. Immediately they explained they had a server failure, apologized, and were getting the orders out next Tuesday (or I could have a refund if I wanted). They were in the process of getting their backed up emails all fixed as well. Technology fails us at times. WE all know that. What I was impressed with was that HOS immediately took responsibility and said "sorry". They did not try too find an excuse. They were honest! They explained the situation and gave me two solutions. They are a hard working family company and I can appreciate doing business with someone like that. "
"Terrible service. Didn't have merchandise but didn't notify me or send credit. They reordered on my behalf and charged me the second itme but after emailing me a credit didn't process it. finally had to file a dispute with the CC. Spent a half day on the phone and still have not received a credit. "

"Do not buy from them. We ordered a thermos glass bottle, and it arrived shattered. The order was supposed to ship in 3-9 business days, but we received the item in 28 days. The shipment of this glass thermos was in a cheapest USPS carton without any padding or insulation, so no wonder why it arrived broken. We do not recommend anyone to buy from them. "

When I pressed for details I was told there was a problem with the vendor for the other items and they needed to cancel the order in its entirety. Now my project won't be completed on time."

I finally spoke to a manager who has explained that they are having issues with corporate. If you are thinking of placing an order with this business I will suggest you do not do it. I placed three separate orders on the same day. Never received any order confirmation emails, no receipts and for 9+ weeks I can’t even get anyone to answer a phone or respond to any emails.
I ended up having to place my orders multiple times because the website doesn’t work, no email confirmations, no order numbers, no receipts! The only thing the website does is charge your credit card over and over and over again, but no order confirmation or receipt is ever given!
Every single time that I call, there is no answer or someone picks the phone up and then hangs up.
This is some small hillbilly “mom and pop” Ace Hardware Store in Florida that doesn’t answer the phone, doesn’t respond to emails and doesn’t have ANYTHING in stock and simply immediately charges your card and then won’t answer the phone and won’t respond to emails and never ships the merchandise and after 4-5 months you more than likely won’t receive your order.
After 2 months of dealing with “Fran” who seemed clueless and senile and doesn’t know how to answer a phone or even use a computer or even how to check email and doesn’t even know how to print a shipping label and can’t even ship a package!
This hillbilly Ace Hardware Store (HOS) is the biggest group of incompetent rednecks and it shouldn’t take 5+ months and over 200+ phone calls and 100+ emails just to receive a box or the Christmas lights that I ordered last year (for last Christmas) and received a partial shipment almost a year later!
It took almost a full year to receive part of my order and took another 5 months just to get these incompetent employees to cancel and refund the remainder of my missing order that has been on “back order” for over a year now!
This “HOS” has the absolute worst website, and worst customer service and they don’t even email you a receipt or an order confirmation or an order number, so even if you call nobody can help you and they ask for an order number (which their website does not work and does not give).
Everyone that works at HOS is completely incompetent and completely clueless!
This is NOT the place to order from or shop! Order from Amazon or a local Ace Hardware, but stay away from HOS, they are incompetent hillbillies and even the owner seems completely clueless and doesn’t even care that his website doesn’t work and his employees don’t even fulfill or ship any orders!
This HOS is a scam, the only thing they do is charge your credit card, take your money, and not answer the phone and don’t respond to emails and it’s impossible to get any help or customer service or support.
I would give this company ZERO STARS and an “F- rating” for the Better Business Bureau! Worst company ever!"
"I ordered some scale sweepers on October 9th and they never shown up. i called oct. 15th and spoke to Richard, he told me he would make sure the warehouse knows and would send me a tracking number. he never called. several days later i called back and spoke to Danielle. she told me Richard was bad at his job and she was piking up his slack. she said she would talk to the warehouse and see where my order was on the 25th and would call me on Monday the 28th. she never did. on the 30th she said she placed the order with the warehouse and needs 24 hours to get the tracking number. today Oct 31st i called again and she still didn't have the information. over 22 days of waiting, and the staff kept wasting my time promising they would call me back and promising they would get my order back to me. it is clear this company has no idea what their doing and has been one of the worst shopping experiences of my life. do not shop at Hardware online store! order number 317064"
"I beg you to please not get taken by the ridiculously low prices they advertise--like I did. I was really excited to find the product that I normally purchase from another online retailer at a significant savings. Trust me. The savings aren't worth it! After you add the cost of shipping, all the stress in not receiving ANY communications regarding the status of your order, and then receiving damaged items.....the "savings" are not worth it. And to top it off, I have attempted to reach their so-called Customer Service and my attempts have been ignored. Nice they debit your account right away for the purchase and then take 3 weeks to ship the product...not packaged very well which results in damaged goods for which they take NO responsibility for. Please, stick with who you have worked with in the past or read, read and re-read the reviews about a new vendor you want to buy from BEFORE placing the order. Will save you a whole lot of disappointment and frustration. This company should be removed from any online ordering platforms."
