"I bought a set of Sennheiser HD595 headphones during the evening on January 10th. My order was verified by 11 AM (EST) the next day (because I had different shipping and billing addresses). When I ordered the headphones the website said availability was about one week, so I knew in advance that I might have to wait awhile. Much to my delight, I received an e-mail around 6 PM saying that they'd been shipped. The estimated delivery date was the 16th (Monday). They shipped from Montana to Michigan and got there a day early on Friday around noon (FedEx doesn't usually ship Saturdays).
Headroom's price was only $10-15 more than the absolute lowest I could find on the net. When you factor in the free shipping (for orders over $100), the excellent service, their great reputation, and a 30 day money-back guarantee, a few dollars is more than worth it. It would have taken a major difference in price to get me to buy somewhere else.
I haven't had any problem, so I can't comment on customer service or tech support.
Headroom has a great reputation with the Audiophile online communities at headwize.com and head-fi.org. Their excellent service and selection creates many returning customers. I know I'll be happy to order from Headroom again in the future."
"The headroom website is well layed out and highly informative. After reading reviews on a popular website that is easily findable witha quick google I decided that the extra money spent on the micro amp with desktop module was definately worth it over the airhead and bithead.
When I ordered the amp, the site said that there was a 4-8 week backorder, so I called before hitting the enter order button to ask a sales rep why there was such a delay. I wasn't put on hold once, and the man that answered the phone was very knowledgeable. I was told that the company that they subcontract out to make the enclosure awas having manufacturing problems and that the internal electronics of all ordered amps were ready to ship, they just needed to be assembled within the case and then would be shipped as soon as the cases arrived. So I went ahead and ordered the amp.
I recieved my amp 3 weeks later, a full week than I was expecting. During those three weeks I called customer service who were happy to give me updates on the status, but that they were completely dependent on the case manufacturer.
The amp is great and after having it for over a month now, I dont think i could live without it.
A HUGE plus for me was being able to iteract with the owner and president of headroom on the same forum that I spoke of earlier in this review. He's a great guy and hes in it for the sound quality, not the money. A great guy in general, he frequently participates in headphone community events and brings along all the cool things from his site so people like me can get a taste of the great stuff he builds."

"Ordered two headphones and DiMarzio interconnects in a single order from this company. The two headphones arrived quickly, but the interconnect cables were delayed for a week or so. The cables eventually arrived all well and good, but the headroom website reported the cables in stock at the time of my order when they were not. I will not do business with this company again."
"i purchased a "total airhead" portable headphone amp. it was shipped immediately and was recieved in 2 days. it is a quality product that will improve sound ... IF... you have one of the newer cd-mp3 players that have very low output and want to use QUALITY headphones, which can be ineffecint.
the best sound seemed to be by putting the airhead volume at maximum and using the cd player volume instead, as to not strain the cd player's underpowered output.
the unit is pretty small and has extreme high sound quality and is noise-free. of note is that the latest model in 2004 is alot better than previous years.

i cannot comment on their service if something was to go wrong. i ordered via the webiste shopping cart and product arrived ok. i did send them an emailed question which took a few days to answer. Overall, i am glad i made this purchase.
the only negative i could say is i think it is overpriced by about $50.

"Although I purchased my set of Grado SR-60 headphones last year, since no one commented on this site yet, I will put up my own thoughts on this store.
I was looking around for a good set of headphones when I came across headphone.com. I never purchased expensive headphones before, relying on Sony's headphones for a while, so it was a bit difficult to find a professional set of headphones that were good and fit my price range.
The site, though, is very well designed. It has logical and easy to follow guides and product reviews, and told me exactly which headphones I should buy. The price ($69) was basically the suggested retail price, but the help that the site provided was priceless.
The only complaint I had was the shipping time. It took a while for the headphones to get here, but that was probably because they were on vacation when I placed my purchase. Placed order on Dec 28, got headphones on Jan 5.
On another note, however, when my headphones started to have problems (loose wire), I was able to send them my headphones and they were repaired free of charge. The only cost was for the one way shipping. They even pay for the shipping back to you!
