Pharmacy rules can be complex and confusing -- which is why we have a whole department dedicated to compliance. Prescriptions are only valid for a certain time after they are written, how long depends on the type of medication. Any refills that are not filled within that time are voided after the prescription expires. Either way, I'm really sorry you had a bad experience.
