"Just received an order from hobbywarehouse.com. Ordered 25 different items and after reading some of the feedback on this site really didn't expect to see much of anything good come out of this experience. Couldn't be more wrong.

All the parts showed up in a timely manner with it taking about a week from the order placement date to the time of delivery. All the items arrived as described and in good condition. The packing could have used more care, but I'm nit picking here.

Overall a good experience. Great prices, reasonable shipping costs and quick delivery (west to east coast). Will definitely use them again.

"Well I guess I paid the price for not checking out this company's reviews before placing my order. They have very deceptive/misleading ads.

For example, they show a picture of 2 or 3 jigsaw puzzles and call it an assortment. I bought 3 different "assortments". I was expecting a total of 7 puzzles from these 3 "assortments", but I only received 3 puzzles all together, NONE of which even matched any of the pictures they showed in the advertisment. I would NEVER buy puzzles without knowing what they would look like, and naturally I was expecting to receive what they showed in the pictures.

So not only did I not get as many jigsaw puzzles as expected, but I didn't get any puzzles that they showed in the "assortment" images.

But that's not all.... on 2 of the 3 puzzles they shipped to me they wrote on the front of them with black maker "C-7CC" in 1/2" high lettering. I was hoping to resell some of these, but can't do that when they write on the items.

I have been ordering stuff on the web for years now, and this is the first time I've ever felt the need to post a bad review. Lesson learned. Read customer reviews first!

"Was stupid and put in my order before reading reviews on this seller, was very nervous after seeing this.

I put in an order for a Losi Micro crawler on Saturday afternoon with 2-day air shipping (they are closed on Saturdays). I called on Monday and the lady on the phone stated that my order was boxed up and ready for the morning pick-up. Feeling a little bit better but not completely comfortable I just had to wait.

Later on Monday I received a tracking number via e-mail and received my item with everything correct on Wednesday. Man was I scared but boy was I pleasantly surprised. At the prices they run I'll likely order from them again.

Ok so here's my first experiance with hobbywarehouse.com. Ordered my kit Friday night. Order shipped the following Monday from Kansas City UPS ground. Arrived in coastal North Carolina Wednesday afternoon. I am pleased.

"DO NOT purchase from this company! They screw up orders and they don't respond. If you want to know what I'm talking about call their customer service number and try to get a hold of someone BEFORE you order. They sent me the wrong item (it was missing accessories that were suppose to be in the upgrade kit) and never responded to countless emails and phone calls. They didn't even respond to the credit card company! I gave up as I couldn't waste any more of my time. They won that battle but I only hope they lose the war.
Please note in their return policy that:
Any item that has the manufacturers seal broken WILL NOT be accepted. These items are only covered by manufacturers warranty after opened.
There was know way of telling it was missing items until after I opened it. Their policy puts the onus on you to contact the manufacturer who had nothing to do with sending the wrong item!!! Try and get that resolved!!!
They are a part of a larger internet company selling on different websites but their "About Us" link redirects to a useless page on product specials. It appears they are trying to erase all info on that and I can't find it online anymore.
I am also going to complain to Google as they allow this dishonest company to advertise free in their shopping network. Not a good idea if Google wants people to believe shopping with them is a good idea.
My only regret here is that I am forced to give them one star!

"On 12/17/10 I ordered a rock tumbler from their website. I had tried to call their toll free number prior to placing the order to ask about shipping. I only got voicemail. After receiving no reponse for several hours, I placed the order and specified two day shipping receiving a sales order confirmation via e-mail. The order was guaranteed for delivery by 12/24/10 and I indicated in the notes it was to be a Christmas gift for our children. By 12/23/10 I still had not received the shipment and called their number numerous times leaving a message. Still no response. I also sent e-mails prior to Christmas and after Christmas as well as called and received no response. I called 01/03/11 and 01/04/11 and got voicemail. Told them to cancel my order and erase all evidence of my account from their database. This is the worst example of Customer Service I have ever seen. In fact, you can't call it that, because it has been entirely absent. My kids did not receive a gift for Christmas due to their poor practices and misrepresentation. I may not have received a response because they might be out of business. If so take the website down. If they're not out of business, with this type of performance they will be soon."

"Terrible and frustrating. I ordered a Rock tumbler Kit Nov 7, 2010. Was shipped the wrong product. They eventually sent a Fed ex return tag to my email. I returned the item and was later told they were receiving a shipment Dec 7 and I would be first on the list to mail out. On Dec 15th I received a package, which contained SOMEONE ELSES RETURN, it too was the wrong product. After leaving 3 messages without a response, amazingly a live person, Sara Hughes, answered the phone on Dec 22, 2010, I was told I could return this item too! After pushing for a date when the item would be in for shipping she hung up on me. So now I will take it up with my credit card company. This has got to be the most incapable company I have ever ordered from and would never order from them again!"

"How I wish I'd checked these ratings before I ordered from this pitiful excuse for a company! Six months ago I ordered a birthday present for my grandson which arrived missing an integral part. After two calls, speaking with very polite folks who assured me the part would be shipped "this week", he still hasn't received it and now they aren't even answering the phone. Over the past two weeks I've left two requests to return my call, but have heard nothing. I will never, NEVER deal with this business again!"

"Terrible. Ordered item on Sept 6, called a week later to see if my item would ever ship - they said it would the next day. Called today, talked to Helen long enough to say *I have a question on my order* and was put on hold - then hung up on. Tried calling back and no one would pick up a phone. Canceled my order, ordered through Amazon - and THAT vendor is shipping it today. Lesson learned - Hobby Warehouse is a JOKE. "

"THIS IS THE WORST WORST WORST company I have ever done business with. They ruined my husbands first fathers day. I ordered on Monday and paid for 2 day delivery. I got an email on FRIDAY night saying they could not find the item and it was cancelled....I called but they were closed. I left a message and did not hear anything back from them. I called again and asked for a manager, Jessica Bryant informed me that she was the manager and the only person that I could complain to. She did not apologize or offer any kind of replacment or discount or anything!!! Please save yourself from a ton of frustration and anxiety and DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! She honestly did not get why I would be so mad that the day my husbands gift was supposed to arrive was the day I got the email saying the order was cancelled....is she crazy?? It took them 5 days to inform me that they did not have the item??? THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"HORRIBLE VENDOR - BUYER BEWARE.

I purchased an AFX RaceTrack From Hobby Warehouse back on Nov 2009 for mu kids for Christmas. Christmas Eve I assemble it and find out that 3 of the tracks are dead. For the past 2 months I have opened up customer service cases via a form they provide on their website. They have yet to update or respond to the case. I have also been trying to call them over these two months and they never answer the phone and their voicemail box is full so you can not leave them a message. At this point I have disputed the charge with my credit card company so hopefully that may get them to respond.

Trust me, do NOT buy from this vendor.

"I ordered two Big Block Battler Slot Car sets from the Hobby Warehouse on November 30, 2009. I received one in the mail. I have tried to contact them via email and phone for a month now and have YET to hear back from them. They charged my bank account for BOTH slot car sets and as far as I'm concerned they are running a scam and have stolen over $100 from me. The most frustrating part is that there is absolutely NO customer service and I cannot get through to anyone. Do NOT order from this company."

"Terrible customer service. I have not received any return calls. I may have been the one that filled up their mailbox. They charged my credit card twice and my shipment is in a loop hole going back and forth from Texas to Kansas due to what fed ex says is an improper lablel placed by the sender. Wish I would have read these reviews or even checked them out with the BBB. I think I would have shopped somewhere else. Good Luck to all I will continue to battle. I filed a complaint with the attorney generals office and with the BBB. I think consumers need some answers."

"My order was placed on December 4th, 2009. I have called them several times only to get an answering machine that is too full to take any messages. I refuse to pay for something I never received. After several emails to get no response, I will not let this go. My advice is never order from this company. This was a Christmas gift to boot. I would not have been mad if they had only showed the decency of a phone call or email. If my order is not here before the 24th of December, I will take action."
