Beautiful clothes, excellent service

"My orders arrive quickly; on the rare occasions when I've needed customer service their responses are prompt and helpful. The quality of their clothing is consistently excellent, and I love that they carry extended sizes and a wide variety of colors. "

Holyclothing does not publish honest reviews.

"For the most part holyclothing makes sturdy dresses. I have five dresses from them and have had issues with three of them. Two of them had seams coming apart on the underarm which I repaired and they discounted the dresses. The next one was too short although according to their measurements it should have been mid calf. It was not mid-calf and my husband was greatly displeased. The other two dresses are gorgeous and fit excellently. Although I have found the material that they use does shrink quite a bit. I left a three-star review for my short dress and they did not publish it."

Terrible customer service

"We needed these dresses as bridesmaids for a wedding. In Novemeber they told us the dresses would be available in Spring. Come Spring the dress is still not available. Eventually it pops up as a preorder (available in 60 days! That's almost summer!) and one of us gets it. I got mine after it came off of preorder for a couple days, and it arrived fairly quickly. She is still waiting for hers however, and they told her that it may not arrive until late June or even later, after the wedding. The whole point of a preorder is to get it sooner, not after everyone else. She asked me to talk to them about it for her since they were just repeating to her how long it would take. When I talked to them about it their response was to whine about how talking to two people makes them work twice as hard, however they answered none of our questions and did nothing to help. To top it all off, my dress is HUGE on top. I thought it was because I am flat chested, but another bridesmaid has a very large chest and the dress is still falling off her shoulders. Very dissapointed."

Never again!

"I ordered 4 dresses from this company in size large since that is the size I had ordered from them previously. When the dresses arrived they fit. I then washed them in COLD water, and set the color with vinegar. Then I LINE dried them in my house. When I tried them on after washing I could barely get them over my head. I contacted HC and was told this had never happened before and maybe I needed to iron the dresses to release the fabric which must have shrunk during wash. Okay, so I did this and the dresses are still too tight. I was given a store credit but no refund on my credit card. I now have to pay to have the dresses altered if this can even be done. When I became frustrated in my e-mail correspondence they requested that I refrain from yelling at them! Probably won't buy from them again. I ordered based on the sizing chart they provide but the chart is definitely off. "

Holy Cow!

"Never again. I have ordered from this company in the past years and was happy. This year, no way. Size chart is way off and the last dress I ordered was too large and I was told I should have referred to their size chart. I did. Shipping the dress back would cost me just as much as the dress cost me to buy and they won't send a paid return label. So, I'm stuck with a dress I cannot wear. Before this dress was delivered I ordered another dress and paid extra shipping cost to have it shipped to my address within 5 days, as I need it for a wedding. Its been over two weeks and no dress, no word from Holy Clothing . They have stopped caring for their customers and they have lost my business. I'm sorry I'm still waiting on that dress for the wedding which probably won't fit me any way. Such a let down."

Always Lovely

"I have been buying from this site for years. The shipping is always reasonable and has tracking, taking about 2 weeks to get to me in Canada. They are always having sales. The clothing is comfortable and flattering with an impressive range of larger sizes. I can't get enough of their clothes. It's all very whimsical. If you need something for a renaissance fair as well they have some great pieces for that!
I am giving it a 5 star since the clothing is just so nice with the added bonus of it all being ethically made in India. They really have a nice business practice and their customer service is fast if you have any questions.
Some side things to note:
- You need to be careful not to put the clothing in the dryer or else it will shrink.
- Watch out for the clothing bleeding dye the first couple times you wash it.

Defiantly worth it. I'll be placing an order for some festival clothes soon.

No more purchases

" They have some great clothing. However, the size chart is very off. Most of the things I have ordered have to be either return for a different size, and that cost more money, or altered. I recently ordered black palazzo pants in a 2X and received a petite small in gray. I returned them and never heard back from them. I had asked for an exchange in the correct size and in black. They had no record of my return. I sent him the notice saying it had been received. They said there was no name or contact info in the package. I put it in the package with what I would like to have done. Customer service said it was on hold because they had no way of knowing if the package belonged to me. How could I have had knowledge that they received a package like that if it wasn't for me complete with tracking information. I have written twice after that and they have not responded. I will not be ordering from them ever again. It takes at least three weeks to get a package unless you spend $15 for expedited mail. It does come from India. I feel sure someone lost the return paper for whatever reason. "

Will never order from them again!

"Where to begin... First of all, the size charts on the company's web site are incorrect. I measured myself carefully and ordered a dress according to their recommended size; however, the dress was way too big in the armholes and neckline, yet oddly was too tight in the bust. It was so wide across the neckline that the straps won't stay up and rather than be a flowing A-line as depicted on the web site, it was shaped like a sack. It was much shorter than shown on their web site. The color was vastly different from both the description and the images. I placed my order on May 20, 2017 and did not receive the dress until June 29, 2017, which was two weeks too late for the event at which I intended wearing the dress. The company says they are based in the US but the parcel came from India (this probably explains why it took so long to arrive). There is no way that I am able to wear this "dress" (and I use the term loosely, since it in no way resembles a dress - it looks more like a sack with straps) and I am not going to waste further money returning it to their company in India. Would never, ever order from them again!"

"Ordered a dress for a wedding on the 28th of the month I placed my order on the 1st. It did not arrive in the estimated time window and they do not provide tracking. Upon contact with the company I was told the following:


"Hello Tamara,

Thanks for your email.
Your order shipped on July 1st by Standard Post (requires a signature). It normally takes 10 to 12 business days to arrive. ETA for your parcel is between July 15th and 20th.

Parcels are rarely lost, but occasionally they get delayed. If it is not delivered within 40 calendar days of the shipped date and is lost, please contact us for a full refund. So if it has not reached you by August 10th, please contact us for a full refund.

Your parcel is stamped with Registration Number RU101532825IN.

Please check with your post office. Delivery may have been attempted and they are holding it for pick up. Undelivered parcels are returned to us unclaimed after 30 days.

If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.

I order online all the time and have never had this degree of poor customer service. There is no reason the package isn't shipped with tracking or that the company ships standard post only. I ordered from them years ago and had a wonderful experience. Now I wish I had read recent reviews before I ordered.

"I purchased a dress from holyclothing... it was a light brown dress...very pretty...on their site, but when it got here it was a dark brown, almost black dress.. I responded why such difference in color, they said... because of the lighting in the picture being taken and my computer...and enclosed a statement that the pictures and actual color are a slight difference... I responded it's not slight but extreme, they responded that the swatch from making the dress is difference... I then inquired about returning it, because it is still not what I had thought I was buying and the package had no documentation about any type of return or anything document... I hope to return this and say goodbye to them... lesson learned.... be careful to what your are purchasing.. besides... they show that they are here in the states, but the dress came from India....not from where they show the company that is in WA and is where you return it to and loose your money for shipping....and more... sad..."
