"The site was very well done. The verification process was where I had the problem. I was contacted by a home advisor rep at 2:51 on 11/11 who was friendly, confirmed my info and said I would be getting an email about the next steps with his contact info in it for questions. However when I got the email it said my request was cancelled because my info could not be verified. I called back using the number in the email and the rep that answered was very unhelpful and rude. I said that I received a call from home advisor & that I was told my info was verified, etc, and he asked me who told me that. I said that the reps contact info was supposed to be in the email and it wasn’t. The rep said he couldn’t help and I said - oh, it was a guy. He then replied that there are 2500 people working there and guy doesn’t help. I asked if there were notes and he said no & that he couldn’t help. I have no idea what I did to this man but I’m pretty sure he was upset with me for calling at all."

"From the moment we paid our membership fees just shy of $300, every benefit the representative mentioned in order for us to pay the fee was untrue. We were told we would have a few days to set up our site and they immediately sent us leads that they charged us between $30-$50 for each "so called lead" and after we reached out to the first 4 leads, 2 did not have voicemails set up, one person was aggravated that we called and asked to call us back but never did and the 4th person was closing on a home in the future but could not allow us to see the house to give an actual accurate bid. We have requested our leads be put on hold three times but Home Advisors continues to send us leads and has withdrawn over $500 from our bank account even though we have requested our HA account on hold. I sent emails and left a voicemail for the representative that signed us up but he never keeps his word and does not provide us with the service we have requested. As a seasoned contractor in the Fayetteville market for the past 35 years, I have never been scammed to this extent. Finally we were told we were 1 of 2 painting contractors in this market yet when a lead comes to us, we see that there are at least 15 other contractors, which due to all the lies we were told when we gave Home Advisors our membership fees, we are confident that the other contractors as well as the leads are 100% bogus. Total SCAM, buyer, contractor and home owner BEWARE. We will be pursuing legal action if Home Advisors continues to scam us and our business."
