They charge the contractor a large fee for the service, then they charge the contractor for each lead, which they send to several contractors each one paying the large fee for the lead even if they can't afford it. So when a lead comes in, it's always a surprise fee. When asked why the amount of the lead is so high all the customer service reps. say is that it is computer generated. So HomeAdvisor can charge you what ever they want and you have no choice It to pay for it. "
