"Recommended vendors was excellent "
"Good experience overall. No problems"
"I only had one person respond"
"Great. Good pricing and customer service as well as a great finished product. "
"Gave me options to find a carpet cleaner"
"Had a reliable and honest contractor."
"If I could give a zero I would. I had appointment scheduled through them for a handyman on 4/22/21. We just moved into the house and had everything scheduled around this. The emailed me the morning of the 22nd to reschedule on the 26th. 2 hours before hand! The. Replayed back to my concern saying they’re experiencing heavy email traffic and didn’t know when they could respond. What a joke. This service is totally unreliable and unaccountable! Never think of using them. "
"I used Angie’s list for many years when I needed the names of various professionals to complete a wide variety of home projects. Their process was very clear. One would enter the project in the “Search”, get a list of companies that could complete the project, and allow me to contact them regarding project details and approximate cost. Fast, easy, and convenient. Home Advisor is another story. I entered a few words about the project I needed done, was then given a drop-down menu with a list of project options from which to choose. None of them was what I needed. I tried again using different words. Still not what I needed. I arbitrarily chose one and was then advised that Home Advisor was sending my request to several “pros” near me that could perform the job—even though the information these pros would be given would NOT be what I needed. I then received a text message telling me someone was interested in working with me. There was no contact name. I had no idea what I was supposed to do. That was the end of that project. A few weeks later I went to Angie’s list and entered my search. Maybe Angie was bought out by Home Advisor, but I found I was now on Home Advisor’s website. I went through the entire process again and had the same result—confusion and frustration. I, again, got a text message telling me there was a pro who was interested in the project—again, NOT the work I needed done, but the work the company THOUGHT I needed. (I needed brunch and overgrowth cut, removed, and disposed of but was told by Home Advisor that it was aeration and overseeing. When I clicked the link that I thought would give me the company information and a quote for the job it didn’t do either. I guess it sent my contact information to the company because I received a telephone call from someone stating they could perform the job and would be out the next day to discuss it. Sadly, no one showed. I called the phone number that appeared on my phone the evening before and was told by the company owner that Home Advisor had removed my contact information so she had no idea how to contact me. Apparently, I was supposed to click on a link sent in another text by Home Advisor but had no way of knowing I was to do this. The owner apologized profusely and said she would set up another time to meet with me. I understand the plight of small business owners and was willing to give this company the chance. I am delighted I did because the work they did exceeded my expectations. My view of Home Advisor after these two experiences is that they are THE WORST. The process involved in securing someone to perform a needed project is confusing, complicated, and frustrating. To make matters worse, I continue to get texts and emails asking the status of my project. I will continue to use this company in the future. However, if I have any needs other than lawn and landscaping, I will just go on Facebook and ask for recommendations. "

"First, don’t believe these reviews and to be fair, I was warned.
So we received call after call, begging for the business. Gave them a try and, WOW, got some leads, a few were good. However I started to notice we were getting worse and worse leads. To the point of the “leads” saying they never input the info/or I live in Mississippi, when called. So I ask HA to credit the leads. They told me they “do not credit leads like this” I was surprised, because that one in particular was FAKE. After auguring my point of why we shouldn’t be responsible for FAKE leads for way too long the rep got a bad attitude and told me nothing can be done and I’m probably lying. Even though I paid almost 2k to them in under two weeks time, they decided to lose 5k+ month over not crediting Fake leads. So it seems like HA will send you some real leads that work out, but when you get leads that are fake you’re expected to pay them as well and that don’t sit right with me and kills any profit you may have. Fraud!! I don’t NOT recommend partnering with this company for your leads. Look into Google Guarantee, its our best lead source."

"Thank you Home Advisor for listening and understanding the necessary pro I needed. I'm impressed. I got the job done within hours, whereas, all other businesses had estimates of weeks or months. "
"Turn around time between contact and schedule appointment was fast. Their pricing was affordable and they work with you."
"2nd time using home advisor. Contractors are already vetted and it is good to have several choices to choose from. Can get multiple estimates."
"I appreciate the services provided but did not appreciate being held hostage on the phone for a survey that, at the outset, I said I didn't have time to take, I wasn't completed with the job, and wasn't sure how to answer all the questions. They kept reiterating how they would send emails that day to ask about the completed job...which hadn't begun yet and I told them such.
Then my inbox that day was flooded with 12 identical emails from home advisor. Very annoying. I had to block them from emailing me because they were relentless. I just wanted to use them to find quality service providers, not create a new business document and publish it...geeze."
