"I ordered a lamp on 1/19/2024. On 1/23/2024, FedEx delivered me a lampshade & bed frame, (where’s the lamp)? I accepted the lampshade because it goes with the lamp. FedEx said they would return the bed frame. I’ve called Home square several times just to get a recording saying to email them. We been email for about a week, they’re still giving me the same results (they’re waiting for a response from the manufacturer) at this point, I requested a refund. As I was reading the reviews, that I should’ve read before placing my order, I came across one that said, the only way you can speak to someone is, choosing the option to make a purchase, BINGO!!!! I did just that and talked to someone name Natalie. She looked into my order, within hours I received an email saying I will receive a refund within 3 business days. I decided to call PayPal and file a dispute, hours later, they denied my dispute saying, Home Square said I received my order, they provided Paypay the order number from the lamp shade, of course I received that, but where’s the lamp that goes with that shade? I called PayPal to open my dispute back up. I told them that Home Square provided them the wrong tracking#, they provided the trk# to the shade that I did receive. I gave PayPal the trk# to the bed frame that I refused from FedEx, told them to call Home Square about that tracking#. Hours later, PayPal emailed me and said I will receive a refund of $148.35 and I did. This was a total nightmare. I will never order from them again. "
"Ordered on line lamps advertised and shown on the Walmart marketplace as tarnished silver - arrived and were a cheap tacky bright gold. False advertising! Now they expect me to pay for return shipping and insurance in order to get a refund. Absolutely unacceptable! I’ve been trying to find a resolution through Walmart for weeks to no avail. "You can't to talk to anyone. I ordered a very expensive sofa and they sent me an email with the trucking company and the tracking. When I clicked on the link from the trucking company, they're asking me to enter the tracking number but there's no place to enter a tracking number. It's just a blank screen saying enter your current tracking number. When I googled this company trucking company there's a lot of them and I don't know which one it is when I called Home Square I got a computer telling me to send him an email and I'll get back to me in a day or two!! No wonder this company has lousy ratings everywhere on the Internet. Do not order from them.! There are a lot of really great online retailers that do a good job and somebody answer the phone if you have an issue."
"Ordered two twin bed frames in November '22 for about $1500. Mid December two giant wardrobes were delivered. Obviously wrong thing so we refused the order. Tried contacting the company but you can only email. The phone number provided doesn't go anywhere. They got back to us after a week and said they would have to have pictures taken and that it would go to a review board. They sent me a tracking number December 23 '22 saying that new items had been shipped. Tracking number doesn't work. Tried contacting them again and they said they would check into it. It's now Jan 18 '23 and no word from them. Trying to get my money back at this point. Worst customer service and this whole thing has been frustrating. Don't use this company!"
"I paid 777.00 for a futon that was supposed to arrive on Friday. Only 2 of the 3 boxes arrived one was damaged so bad the wood is messed up. The mattress has yet to arrive. Customer service is no help at all. I ordered it for guests I have coming on Christmas guess they’ll be sleeping in a blow up mattress. "
"Ordered California king bed from Homesquare/cymax thru walmart on 10/15 and only received the headboard. Messaged Homesquare twice but never received responses. Had to contact walmart 6,7 times just for them to keep telling me to wait for them to contact the main seller which was Homesquare, said they were told the order was just for headboard only which was completely not what was advertised on their website. Walmart finally shrugged it off and said there was nothing they could do and i needed to contact the seller myself, which like i said I did and they never responded to me and their phone number did not work. I paid $500 and they said it was just for the headboard??? This was a total scam from Homesquare and Im very disappointed of Walmart for siding with this scammer!"
"I live in Missouri. I paid for a set of oak book shelves that were never delivered. They actually delivered them to a Hotel in South Carolina. It has been months now, and though the shipping company picked up the shelving, Homesquare.com never delivered them to my residence in Missouri. They repeatedly refused to return my calls, or my emails, until I threatened to file criminal actions against them with the State Attorney's office. They responded and promised to refund my money within 3 days, which was a week ago. "
"First problem, no communication during shipping. After ordering a daybed, Home Square advised me in an email that it would ship within about three days, then arrive about five to ten days after that. After three days, I had received no word of the bed shipping. I tried to check through the website, but the website was down and stayed down for days. I tried to check by calling, but could only get a recording, even during business hours. The charge on my credit card first appeared as pending, then disappeared. Since I was nervous about having the bed in time for my guest to arrive, I ordered an identical one from Home Depot. Of course two days after I did so, the one from Home Square arrived. Home Depot did everything I would expect Home Square should have done in notifying me when the package actually shipped and providing tracking information.
Second problem, the package that the bed came came in had already been opened. It was heavily duck taped together, whereas the identical package from Home Depot was properly sealed. The bedframe came with a scratch that I figure I will paint over. There was no instruction manual included.
Ideally I would prefer to return the package to Home Square and keep the one from Home Depot, but I only expect more frustration in trying to return the one from Home Square. On the other hand, I could just load the Home Depot bed up and take it around the corner to the store. I'll just keep in mind to give Home Depot my business in the future and avoid Home Square, Cymax, and whatever else they call themselves.
On the plus side, the bed, manufactured by DHP is exactly what I was looking for and all the parts were included. I called DHP, the manufacturer, and they sent me an instruction manual.

"I ordered a 3 peirce set dresser chester and night stand. I didn't receive my nightstand. The chester has a large Crack on the side. I shouldn't have ordered anything on line.Going to the store is the best thing. They tell you to email oh that's a joke.All I want is for my money to be replace back on my card the the nightstand. As far as the chester I will get some Gorilla glue to fix it. I will never ordered anything from this company again I am appalled."
"I purchased an expensive ceiling fan from HomeSquare. We did not open the box, because our electrician said the wiring would not work in our home. We reached out for instructions to return it. We followed the instructions, but we never received our refund. We had 15 days to return it, AT OUR EXPENSE which we did immediately. BUT, when the refund didn’t arrive after a few months, I reached out to check on it, and they said I asked them about it and I quote “ Unfortunately, it's past the timeframe now, and we can no longer return the item.” So I purchased it, payed for shipping, paid to ship it back, and still no refund. According to them, I was supposed to return it, and inquire about the refund not being credited back to my account within the 15 day limit. Why would I spend the money to ship it back to end up losing even more money. Ridiculous.
If you like what you buy, fine. But be warned if you need to return something, you may end up without a refund. "
"Ordered a large expensive item from HomeSquare, shipped when expected, but that’s where HS ended. Tracking never worked, NO telephone customer service line! THATS RIGHT, call the number and a recording tells you to email. (If you call for sales for a business you can get the customer service transfer) Then they are worthless. A week and a half after shipping they still could not track the order. Eventually claimed to have contacted the shipper and said the item was in Salt Lake City. I contacted the manufacturer who eventually got a working tracking number, and HS was lying through their teeth, the item was in Columbus Ohio. Item was fine, but customer support is worse than zero, would never use again "
"I purchased a furniture piece and THEN read the reviews (I know that was backwards) but this did not disappoint. Every piece was in tact, came as described and arrived on time. This piece took me 2 hours to put together and worth every dollar I paid. It's perfect. I'm so glad I took a chance on this. "
"Ordered a laundry hamper and one of the side rails had the wrong holes and was the wrong way. I have had to follow up myself at least 15 times by phone and email and they still haven’t sent a replacement. Their follow up is non-existent. They sent the same email four times asking me to tell them what part and I responded every time to no response. If we didn’t like the look of this (over-priced) hamper so much I would be returning it. Do not order from them. "
