"Young girl at Customer was very helpful in helping me find a battery for my lawnmower; the one I ordered on line from Home Depot for Homelite mower did not fit. Your store does not have an account with them for the correct battery and she phoned homelite to find a battery; which she did from UPS Batteries. HOME DEPOT SHOULD CARRY BATTERIES FOR THE MOWERS YOU SELL; if a customer can't get the battery from mfg then they should NOT sell the lawnmowers."

"I ordered an umbrella to match the outdoor dining set I purchased online at Home Depot. When I went to check out it said the umbrella was out of stock and I removed it from my cart. The next day I went back online and saw the umbrella WAS available. I purchased it with great relief. The following day....I get an email that the umbrella was not available till July (which is what it said when I tried to purchase it the first time). This house is a summer rental and I have people coming in on the 29th of May. I called Home Depot customer service and got a young kid. I told him what happened. I said specifically that I live in New York and this was a rental in Massachusetts on Martha's Vineyard and that is where the umbrella was being shipped. He put me on hold for about 15 min. He came back and said he checked the Pennsylvania store and they had one in stock. I asked couldn't he check a closer store. After back and forth - he thought I wanted it sent to NY when I clearly said to him it was being shipped to MA. So I told him Martha's Vineyard. He looked at two stores in MA. One wouldn't ship it because as the rep said "Martha's Vineyard is like an island". !! And this was after another 20 minutes of being on hold. Then he comes back and says that the store in Hyannis has 3 in stock and will ship it to me for $140.00. Realy!!
I called customer relations and spoke to a John Smith who connected me and stayed on the line while I talked to customer service. I got disconected twice, luckily John gave me his telephone number. So we get on the phone with Hyannis and the manager their said he could bring the cost done to $100 for shipping (an $89 umbrella). And we got disconnected again.
I thought to myself, 2 hours later, forget it I'll just buy another color since I can't get the color that matches. I go back online looking and the chat pops up. I go through the story. She said one minute, came back and gave me a link. There were two passion fruit umbrellas. One that said deliver in July the other said by May 26. Now I get sceptical. Am I being duped again? I asked her what is the difference and she said none. One is part of the Fall River collection (which is the dining set I got) and the other is generic. OMG Why couldn't any of the knuckleheads I talked to before have figured that one out. Her name was Appololina. She figured it out within 2 minutes. I went ahead and purchased the item. All and all, the experience sucked, but at least you have 1 person on the ball. And I ended up cancelling the first order since it wasn't going arrive on time. The original order number was W366209371. I was sent the back order email on May 14. Below is my current order. I think there are a lot of other stores out there such as Lowes who I will probably go to next time. You wasted my 2.5 hours while I had to be in work. It was a disgrace to your customer service. I give it a -10. Very disatisfied. "

"I ordered a lawn mower from Home Depot on line. The mower was not only delivered 4 days earlier than projected, but rather than being left on my front porch was carried to my back yard next to my storage shed. I was not at home at the time and really appreciated it being carried to the back. Putting the mower together I could not adjust the height of cut for the front wheels. Carried it to Home Depot on a Sunday morning and within 30 min or less the a most helpful and friendly young man had me on my way with the mower ready to go. What I thought would be an unpleasant experience turned out to be very pleasant."
