"I have been using Hotels.com for over a year. I use it for personal travel and business trips. The website is user friendly. I like that their site is clean. The pages are not cluttered with advertisements that have nothing to do with what you are trying to find. It's so easy to find things. The filters to narrow your options and find exactly what you are looking for are very easy to use. I like that there is such a wide spectrum of accommodations and price tiers to select from, pictures of the place and customer reviews. I had an incident where some Welcome Rewards Points had not been posted to my account after a stay. I called customer service and they were so friendly and helpful. They gave me an investigation reference number to use should I want to call back to check on the status. I appreciate that they do that so you can get right to the proper department when you call in. It saves time and frustration. My missing points were awarded within a day. I received a phone call informing me as well as an email confirmation. I recommend using Hotel.com to people all the time because, it is so easy and saves so much time when making travel arrangements."
"I love hotels.com because it lets you see the hotel highlights and give you a great resume of all the information to make a sound and knowledgeable decision for your trip. Also, I like the rewards and they are easy to redeem in their website. Their customer service is really nice and they understand your needs when you are booking a great hotel. "
"Well we were planning a night to stay in Seattle. I saw that Hotels.com was running a special "12 days of Christmas" and that is what brought me to your site. (we would have gotten the gas card) BUT small print, you had to stay 2 nights. that was discovered at the end when I was trying to retrieve the gas card. Anyways Hotels.com website is very easy to use & I like saving just a little bit of money through them as well."
"easy to use, great comparisons of price, helpful reviews/ maps and directions. Great value for money. Great deals"
"Overall service is good. My only complaint is that we had a booking in Spain for 2 nights and I became ill and had to return home before we checked in. I understand the one night penalty as we cancelled inside the 24 hour notice reuirement but I was told I would not get credit for a night's stay on Hotels.com stay 10 nights promotion even though I paid for the night. Why should I have to actually stay there if the night was paid for regardless?"
"I have used hotels.com several times and have always been more than pleased with the lodgings provided. This is the perfect website for last minute vacations/other and, of course, saving money when planning a trip in advance."
"You can usually find the same prices on the hotels' websites, but Hotels.com makes it convenient, in that you don't have to search for every single hotel separately. If you're looking for a particular hotel, Hotels.com probably won't save you any money (since you can find the same price at the website for the hotel itself), but if you are looking to compare prices and features of several hotels, it's a good site.
BEWARE of some of the hotels, though. We were on the road, and needed an extra night in a different city, so we booked a "double-double" through Hotels.com. We couldn't print the confirmation, so we had no proof of what we'd paid for. When we arrived at the hotel, they said we only paid for a room with one double bed, and we had to pay to upgrade. When we got home the next day, I checked, and we had paid for a "double-double." The hotel was NO help whatsoever - refused to return the upgrade fee, so I tried contacting Hotels.com. I never even received a response from their customer service. Lesson learned: NEVER book unless you can print a confirmation as proof of what you paid for. Also, don't bother asking Hotels.com customer service for help; you won't even get a response. You're on your own, once you pay for your hotel room."
"I haven't had any problems using hotel.com and saved a lot of money."
"very fast and easy... really good deals.. "
"I HAD A $20 OFF COUPON AND THEY WOULD NOT APPLY IT. NOT VERY HAPPY AND WILL NOT RECCOMMEND TO OTHERS."
"Lets just say that my recent experience with this establishment has been nothing short of total disappointment. They use words such as "PROMISE, GUARANTEE AND LOYALTY". They have no clue what these words mean and in a business such as theirs they should at least have a dictionary to help them out before they use these words."
"They have always provided great customer service. I have come to know Micheal and with him being so good, they promoted him to a different department. The hotel prices are fantastic and the Welcome Rewards Program is fair."
"dont let you change rooms if you booked hotel in the wrong part of the city!!!just wanted to move same hotel but to different part of town and they said NO!!! they suck"
"They use fraudulent advertising on their site. I booked a stay at a very nice resort on Hilton Head Island for my husband and I. We did our research and Hotels.com seemed to have the best price. When we confirmed our stay, the price was listed to include all taxes - which I checked twice and so did my husband since we were so surprised that the price so much less for the stay than it was at other places. When I received the confirmation email from hotels.com, it gave us different information that what was listed online. It said "additional taxes and surcharges may be imposed by the hotel" but the website said that all taxes were included in the price of $215.10 per night. When I called their customer service I thought the man was joking with me when he said "The way to tell the difference between which hotels include tax and which ones don't include tax is to look as a logo image." He went on to say that some logo looks one was for the hotels that include tax and looks a different way for the ones that don't include tax. I told him that if the site SAYS TAX IS INCLUDED for the nightly price, then I expect tax to be included! Needless to say, we cancelled with hotels.com and the nightly rate using a discount offered by the resort was less than what we would have had through hotels.com. Since hotels.com nightly rate was a bit more, we just thought that was because it included the taxes... but we were wrong. Thank God we payed attention otherwise we would have been very surprised and angry when we got to the hotel and found out how fraudulent the website is for hotels.com... all I can say is don't use them, look for someplace more honest!"
"We have found Hotels.com to be the best option in booking hotels online. Clear information is available, and it is always possible to get info clarified or problems resolved by telephone when needed. Wou"
