"Customer service is horrible! I had an issue with a trip I booked over the phone where I was supposed to qualify for a nook and get a $50 gas card, approximately a $200 value. The customer service rep I booked the trip with assured me that I would get both upon completion of my trip. I got NEITHER!! When I called to complain/ask where my items were, I was told the best they could offer was a $100 credit voucher that had to be used/completed in 3 months! I wasn't happy with that, so I was told to complain and submit my case to the corporate office, which is the same location of the manager that was offering "the best he could do". It took a couple of weeks for the corporate office to "answer" me via email that the voucher was the best they could do. It then took almost a month for me to get the voucher. BUYER BEWARE!!!"

"Started out great booking through hotels.com. Booked though them with the promotion for a $25 gas card. Had some trouble on line so I called. I was told not to worry, I would get an email on how to apply for the gift card. Didn't get an email right away so wrote and was ignored. It was communicated later that I would get the email after my stay. Let it go until I stayed at the hotel and upon my return was expecting an email within a few days...it never came. After about a week, I wrote. No response. Wrote again. Had to write a couple times and wait a few weeks before I got a response apologizing for not responding. Wrote and gave them the info they requested (name, dates, confirmation number) and waited. Was told they didn't have the 'code' that was to be entered when I booked. I said I know as I was having difficulty so I called and was reassured that I would get an email telling me how to apply. As you can probably guess, several dozen emails later (most of mine ignored), I was told there is nothing they can do. I said there were plenty of choices open to them. Haven't heard since although I'm still writing thinking they will make it right. I will never use them again - ever, and tell everyone I know to be careful if they do use them but try to convince them not too. Unbelievable."

The hotel I reserved had a mix-up at the time of check-in that was going to prevent them from being able to fulfill my reservation. I called in and spoke with a supervisor at Hotels.com and they were able to get me accommodations at the hotel right next door (which was much nicer). The hotel was more expensive than the one I originally booked, but Hotels.com did not charge me the difference and they also worked in a free room upgrade. "I have booked few reservations from Hotels.com but after my today's experience, I would like to warn all by customer friends that before you use this cheat site, make sure you understand all the conditions. They mention price match guaranty but they will never do and finally you will be harassed.
I booked 1 night stay in Niagara falls from Budget in hotels $105/room and I got some coupons to apply too. finally I paid $210.13 to these guys. Later on I went offical site of Niagara falls (www.niagara-usa.biz) to book attraction tickets. I realized that prices of same hotel is way cheap $79.99 so I thought calling hotels.com to do price match. 1st customer care person has put my call on hold more than 20 mins after hearing all the issue. After verification she was ready to process refund based on her total $190 which was still $5 more of total price of official side. When I request to refund based on actual difference, she again put my call on hold and never comeback. I had called again from another line and here I have been told that since I applied coupons, they will not do any refunds and they asked to read some 5000 lines terms and condition. Guys based on this experience I suggestion would to just beware from this cheat site.
