"July 7, 2017 I placed an order for $51.24 USD at howcool.com on March 24 and got a confirmation email. The items were supposed to ship within 1 to 4 weeks, and I was supposed to be notified by email when they do. I never got a shipping confirmation nor the items I paid for. I opened a service ticket on their website a week ago to get an update and never heard back from howcool.com I don't think I will ever get my items. I feel like I have been scammed and want my money back."

I bought some shoes. On the item page, it said "Item is in stock and ready to ship."
When I got my order confirmation, it says that the item should ship in 1-4 weeks. Turns out it was a "special order" item which can take up to 8 weeks to ship. I was not notified of that.
I tried to cancel and it said you can't cancel a special order until 30 days have passed, but if you do, they will charge a 20% early cancellation fee.
Just don't be stupid; don't order from howcool.com.

"HowCool are great! Some of their suppliers run out of their goods and don't notify them and Howcool gets the blame in reviews which I think is unfair. I've been a customer for almost ten years now and I am very happy with them. You pay first on almost all websites, I see nothing wrong with that. I recommend them and if you feel so-so about shippingtime just stick with in stock items or post a question ticket about the item of your desire first. Reed, you are the best!"
"I order from this website because I love the shoes. But the customer service is the worst that I have ever experienced before and I love shopping online . I order some shoes but they were small so I sent it back to exchange it for a bigger size on the website the size bigger were cheaper I ask them if they was going to send me the diference .....so they changed the price on the website so they didn't have to send me the difference. I really didn't really care I love the shoes any ways order number 170032. So I order again but this time I order 2 pairs of shoes but change my mind so after 15 minutes I send them a email to cancel one of the pair of shoes. They told me they were going to charge me a 20 % restocking fee. I cancel the same day. Then later they wait like a week to tell me that they send me the shoes any way. Then I got to paid out my own package to send the shoes back. Today is march 6 and I still have not receive my money back and I have to open a case with the BBB just to try to get my money back. This place is horrible beware if you need to return forget it. BEWARE, I really hope to help the next person. "

I placed an order for $318 on Aug 16th. They immediately took my money (which is normal). There were some items in my basket with the comment that they are not on stock and could take up to 3 weeks more.
Now after 60 days of waiting I am here without money and without the ordered items the only message I got was that howcool will give me a penalty of 20% if I will cancel my order.
I will contact the credit card company, maybe they can help.

"I totally should have read the reviews before dealing with them. Typical story. I ordered shoes, on Apr 25. The website said it would take 1-4 weeks to get manufactured because it's a special order. Whatever. I waited almost two months...NOTHING. Although they were supposed to notify me if there were any delays. I had to contact them instead. They said there was a delay with the vendor, told me they would update me in 48 hours. Never happened. I had to contact them again, the guy said he would check and let me know in 3-5 business days. NOTHING. I asked them to cancel the order and return the money to my account. He assured it would be there within 3-5 business days...NOT..To make a long story short, I've been trying to get the money back for weeks and all I'm getting is: "We're so sorry, it's not our fault, the money will be back in 3-5 days.." Hmmm, I guess I'm not getting it back after all. PLEASE AVOID "
