"i purchased a new rebel digital camera becasue i was attracted by the cheap prices. Well, there is a reason for the cheap prices. They tell you and confirm that they have the order in the warehouse and will be shipped immeadiately. when icalled two weeks later, they tell me it is on back order. I tried to find more information, but they kept putting me on hold and transfering me to a n answering service. my messages went unanaswered and i still couldnt find out when i was going to recieve my camera. I was given the run around for about half an hour on the phone. I was so fed up by the end of the call i told them to just cancel the order. THIS IS A BAD COMPANY AND A FRAUD...DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM...THEY ARE A RIP OFF...THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND SEEM TO BE A COMPANY THAT RUNS OUT OF THEIR GARAGE"
"RIP OFF CITY. I ordered a pv-dv953 off their site and it appears to be a complete camera package.. Well its not and after the "confirmation" call they inform me that the camera is a "replacement" camera for people who already have the accessories. Now they do have a complete accessories package for more money (original $849.99 Package $1249).
They are a rip off and a con. Do not order from them."
"I ordered a Nikon CoolPix 5700 for $734.99, got the confirmation thru email $799.09 ($64.10 shipping & handling). They shipped me a used camera and charged my credit card $999.99 ???? I called the sale person (Victor) to get the Merchandise Authorization number to return this product, he said it will charge 15-30% for restocking fee plus shipping fee and hanged up the phone! With Infinity Cameras, the worst experience I've had with an internet company! Do not give them your credit card number"
"I can't believe government lets businesses like this to keep operating and deceiving customers. I don't know what these people think...do they think that the public is made up of group of idiots? They keep pulling these scams one after another, knowingly that public knows about them.
My story is very similar to others. I ordered a digital camera Sony DSC-F717 online. After few days I got an email to call them back for confermation. (By the way when I ordered the camera it showed in stock) When I called back the person started lying right on my face. She told me that the battery life on this camera is only 25min. I need to get an additional battery...that I also need memory stick and other accessories. I declined it. She said since it is overseas model it has no warranty. Tried to sell me warranty that cost so much and I also declined. So she said 14-21 days they will send it...since it comes from overseas. More than 1 month passed they still tell me 14-21 days and to top it off, this item is on back order. So i called them pretending to be a new customer trying to buy that same camera. They said they have it in stock and i can get it in 7 days. I hanged up and called again to check the status of my order, they said that they still don't have it. I confronted them that I just called as a different person and they said that they carried it. He said that it is impossible. WOW that's all I have to say!
So I ended up canceling the order, naturally. Now do you guys see how low these people are? "
"I attempted to order several times. Each time Infinity Camera's order form was filled out, visa # taken and shipping established, they stated the "items were shipped". Several days later, I got a message that the items were not shipped but were back ordered to an unknown date. In some cases we did not learn of the back order status until around the date we expected to RECEIVE the items! When we asked infinity about their lack of in stock information the customer service person stated "that's the way it goes!" Not for our company,, we went elsewhere."
"I got a Fuji S2, same deal--no U.S. warranty, only Repairtechinc for $450/3yrs. The pitch was that customers can choose their own warranties and thus save money. This was a new experience to me and I was totally unaware of this "grey market" concept, where you get a camera in a box labeled for Japanese sale and a manual in Japanese. Shortly after getting it, my S2 died on the tripod. Sent to Repairtech (http://repairtechinc.com/) and heard nothing for a week. No way to check, either, and no answer to emails to them. Then finally a call--it would be a "neglect" claim and the cost would $240, but after much protest, an agreement for Repairtech to pay 40%. To say I abused this camera seems a joke. I personally treated it like a great big egg. So anyone considering a purchase from Infinity Cameras should at least consider these experiences here. All this could be on the up and up but it is certainly suspicious to me. If and when I get my camera back in working order it goes on sale and I will go to a local store for a real one. Oh, another thing--a huge S&H bill, also, nearly $150 added to my credit card by Infinity for the camera, a lens, and a flash--and S&H not refundable, either. "
"Buyer beware. they offer a very low price on Camera's however they are not camera's for US distribution. i called to purchase a Sony DCS F707 which they had for $150 less than anyone. the make you buy a warrany otherwise it comes with none (warranty was $150-299). this camera should have a 1yr warranty from Sony, however since its not a US camera Sony would not offer any warranty. IF the company pulls these kinda tactics to sell it makes you wonder how good they warranty would be "
"This was one of low price vendors for a Canon GL2 camera on one of the price comparison websites, that offered this camera $100+ under other resellers. I submitted the order on their website and got confirmation of receipt. Later, I got an email saying there was a problem with the order and more info was needed and to call Kevin. I talked to Kevin and he said credit card info must have been incorrect but indicated it was OK when I repeated it. He then tried to sell me many accesssories & I declined. I told him I only wanted camera and he said it would only have 30 days warranty unless I bought a upgraded warranty at $100+. I declined and told him to cancel the order. This is another one of the slimy New York camera dealers at work. I would advise anyone to avoid this operation as well as A&M Photo World(same scheme). The legitimate camera dealers in this state such as J&R Music World should lobby for such tactics to be unlawful. I bought the camera at Norman Camera in Michigan and had it in hand in three days at a price $50 lower than local."
