"I started shopping at Infotech about 10 years ago. It was that small local computer store that I went out of my way to support and encouraged my friends to do the same, even though we lived about 30 miles away. The owner was very knowledgable, and the staff was very helpful. I moved out of the states for many years, and rediscovered the store a couple of weeks ago. I have had disappointing experiences there since then. The most telling one just happened the other night. I was trying to build a system that night with my nephew who was flying out the next day, it was 6:50pm on Friday night, and I had everything but the case. I had been in earlier that day, and already had the case picked out. They do not accept AMEX, so I had to make the bulk of the build purchase elsewhere. The store closes at 7pm M-S closed Sunday. I was stuck in traffic, and I called ahead to ask if it was possible that they could stay open an extra 15 minutes to allow me to come in and purchase the case. After a short pause, I was told that nobody wants to stay, so if I make it I make it. I arrived at 7:05pm. The doors were chained and there was nobody in sight. I expect the big brick stores to shutter their doors, but most of the time have been accommodated. A local store, needs to be much more customer oriented, and should look toward their customers as their friends or at least people that you need to treat fairly. If the staff sees their role differently, then I guess Fry's has my business.
I do not know where the management is for this place. Nobody that I have seen in that store looks or even acts as though they are a shift manager. The vibe seems to be too cool for school. I even had to listen to one of the employees try to sell a first time teenage gaming computer shopper and his father on SSD, water-cooling, and SLI Nvidia 680s to play WoW and Diablo III."
"I stopped by their shop in Federal Way Washington on 9/2 and had a sales rep (adam) help me build my dream gaming system. The dream ended as soon as I got it and since day one had nothing but problems. While the tech guys are nice in general, I ended up having to diagnose my own problems that the techs were unable to figure out.
Original System:
Invoice Number: 507395
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Thuban 3.2GHz Black Edition Six-Core Processor
ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 ATX AMD Motherboard
Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) PC3-12800 DDR3 Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
Thermaltake TR2 RX 750W Power Supply
Sapphire HD5970 (Hemlock) 2GB Radeon Video Card
CORSAIR Cooling Hydro Series CWCH50-1 120mm High Performance CPU Cooler
2xWestern Digital Caviar Black 640GB SATA 6.0Gb/s Hard Drive
-Raid 0
Antec Twelve Hundred ATX Full Tower Computer Case
The first night I got home and put the system through its paces. It basically preformed terrible for the hardware installed. At first they thought it was a video card problem so we upgraded (aka I spent $240 more) the card to two ATI 5870 in crossfire.
After leaving it there for a couple days they pretty much gave up and let me take it home. I Thought it might have been a power supply issue so I had them upgrade ($160) to a higher watt output power supply. With the new power supply in, the cards actually preformed better and not worse in crossfire, although 2+ fps better is far below what it should have been doing. The second and unfixable (They refuse to exchange) problem is the processor. Even though they said it should have NO problem running my system, it simply wasn't up to the task. Turning on turbo core (boosts the processor speed) gave a boost to the frame rates in games, so it was very obvious this was the bottleneck.
So with all these problems based on their recommendations, the manager I talked to refused to exchange parts or refund the system. You would think that the company would take some responsibility based on their own recommendations, but that doesn't seem to be the case at Infotech.
I hope to hear from them and work this out. I'm in the process of submitting a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. For now though I recommend staying away from this company."
"Ordered a non-LED Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu from InfoTechNow because their catalog had shown and spec'd the exact item required. Order was clearly for the non-LED version, this was also reflected on the invoice received. Ended up with a blue LED version instead, all they had in stock. No notification that they were substituting a different version.
If you want a non-LED 7000B-AlCu, would advise going to another source."
"The price's good. Got it on time as promised. I'd like to buy stuffs from this seller. "
"Don't buy there. they sent me the wrong article, and returning it was a royal pain in the butt. they didn't even refund the full price.
Also, I'm now getting spam mails from them to which I never subscribed."
"I had a very pleasant experience with Infotechnow. I ordered my item on a Thursday with 2nd Day shipping, they processed the order and had it shipped within hours and my package arrived undamaged and in great condition on Monday! Speedy service and quality products, I would recommend Infotechnow to prospective PC component buyers!"
"Infotech now is a quality company, had no problems with purchasing from them.
I had a nice phone conversation with them, went online, ordered my Asus G1 laptop priced awesomely $50 less than every other seller and within an hour of that I had my order set and confirmed.
I could check my order status with my order number on their site and the UPS had a set delivery date and so I knew when I would receive it.
The package came perfect and I took everything out and everything was perfect, the laptop runs great I am writing this review on it now.
I was very satisfied overall, quick processing and fast shipment, I recommend Infotech now.

"I ordered an Asus laptop W7J from this store, and shipping took 48 hrs after order. (I live in CA) It was much faster than I expected, so I was very pleased. They have only Asus laptops but anyway they offer quite good price, so to someone has an idea to buy asus i would recommend this store. But the shipping tracking tool on the site didn't work properly. I sent an email to ask my shipping status, and they replied very fast. "
"I sent several emails for support on the two items I purchased. They was no reply to them and no reply to have me removed off your mailing list.
This was my first order with your company and for sure the last one. Your company has a very good web site and prices, but your support sinks..."
"This store has everything I need. I drive from Tacoma, even with today's gas prices. InfoTech exceeds my expectations and I am very pleased with their selection of accessories. I spent $600 on Friday and I am going to buy the rest of my gear soon. I am now a lifetime customer.
Next Visit... I have spent 2,500 on my new pc and Infotech has treated me very well. I was given great service in the tech department by Chris and he helped me through a difficult problem with ease. Thanks, Infotech and Chris!"
"I've been a customer of Infortech for several years. I've been to their store in Federal Way, WA when I used to live in the Seattle-Tacoma area; since I've been in the East Coast area I've purchased a number of systems and components for clients as well as for personal use. Their prices are good; the occasional defective product was always replaced promptly; their tech support has been competent and timely; the occasional order glitch has been quickly and fairly resolved. I continue to use them as my primary source for most components."
"hello I sent a email message to Infotech a while ago and didn't recieved answer yet....anyway the package and product was good " My question was : when I inserted a CD Driver to install the card didn't work means ;didn't appeared a instructions instalation window to ussually have when you insert a instalation cd,but I notice the Pc reconigzed the VIDEO card and it is working..it is ok...? , also I am wondering if Infotech have a Remote Control and The IR device to use in this equipmet, please I hope somebody can answer this questions. Thanks "
"Always very happy with infotech. I get my parts quickly and I hardly ever have to exchange, but when I do it is always a postitive experience.

"I have purchased from Infotech for the last seven years and have found them to be a very reliable company. Like many other computer outlets they are not perfect but I would rate them in the top 10%. I have order over a hundred times from them and they have always been on time, professional, and sold a product that you can rely on. The few times I have had a problem they have always been willing to work it out."
"Thus far, I've been extremely satisfied with all of my purchases from InfoTech. While I miss the convenience of being able to walk into their store (I moved to the east coast), being able to order exactly what I want and having it shipped to me is a close second.
They have a great selection, competitive prices and are willing to build you a custom PC that can easily hold its own against the "brand-name" PCs."
