"The order arrived in a timely fashion, and all the caterpillars were alive (5 in one jar, 6 in the other). Unfortunately, they were very large when they arrived, so I'm guessing they were already a week or so old when they were shipped. I had ordered them to use for a weekly homeschool science coop class, hoping that the kids could see the progression from caterpillar to chrysallis to butterfly. Instead, they went into their chrysallis stage w/i three days of arrival, and the kids will miss the caterpillar stage completely. While I have no complaints with the service or the condition of the caterpillars, I am disappointed about receiving "old" caterpillars. It defeats the purpose of being a visual aid in insect life cycles if half their life cycle is spent before we even get to see them."
