"We received the butterfly larve on Thursday. My 6year old grand daughter was delighted, while my 12 year old grand son tried to appear uninterested.
Less than a week later the caterpillars are one and half inches long and are beginning to hang. My uninterested grand son is keeping track on the rate of growth, while my grand daughter is ecstatic about the prospect.
By the way all 9 caterpillars made it to Arizona fine.

"My experience with InsectLore was fantastic. We purchased the kit at a local store, ordered the caterpillars a few months later when we knew it would be warm enough out to release the butterflies, and 2 weeks later we have butterflies emerging. The larvae/caterpillar stage was much easier than I expected. It comes in a jar with food in it. If you are at all squimish about insects, not to worry. You just place the jar inside your enclosure and wait for the caterpillars to move into their cocoons. They are not moving when you pin the disk onto the side of the enclosure. We were home the day the butterflies emerged. It was a great experience for my 5 and 4 year olds."

I was looking for the caterpillars for my new butterfly kit. Had to look around the site a bit to find them.

That being said, I received the caterpillars today and the kids are excited and thrilled.
We received 5 caterpillars all alive (as far as I can tell!), with clear and detailed instructions on care and feeding.
