"I first started a trade in with Apple and despite accurately defining the condition of the laptop, they went back on their offer and was going to give me nothing, saying they would "kindly" recycle my Mac. I assume this is some BS tactic to get people to just surrender their laptops for free so they can refurbish and resell. Especially fishy since I started the trade in process at checkout with a new Mac.

The old Mac was less than a year old and only had a damaged screen (which the 2020 Mac airs are known for but Apple won't take responsibility). The Mac itself was perfectly functional. Apple seriously **** me off with this maneuver. It still makes me disgusted when I think about it.
