Minimum purchase

"I have ordered many times in the past and was happy with everything. This time there was a minimum order amount. You could not just order one item. You had to order at least 4 of the same item to be able to place an order. I ordered from another company."

"First I want to brag on Jerry's Artarama for it's awesome attention to customer service. Amazing delivery time! I wasn't expecting my order for another week when it showed up! That's outstanding delivery service, in my book.
The Turner Acryl Gouache Smart Set is just as delightful as I expected. It is snugged in an attractive cardboard sleeve. The see-through case has an opaque white, lift-off lid that is secured by easy-to-operate side latches. The lid can function as a palette, as it has fourteen 1" x 1-1/2" wells, four 2" x 4" wells, and two 3" x 4" wells. That's plenty of room for keeping and mixing paint! There are eleven 11 ml tubes of paint (10 colors + 1 black); one 11 ml tube of palette cleaner, plus two 20ml tubes of white paint. In addition, this set includes one 8-1/2" x 12-1/2" soft cloth and a small ziplock baggy for storing it; one clear plastic ruler, 25 cm long in a clear plastic sleeve; and four Chinese painting brushes that I am excited to try out!
I am tickled to no end with this paint set! Thanks to Turner and Jerry's Artarama for making it so affordable. I am sure I will enjoy using it!

Great product selection, horrible website

"When was this site designed, 2000? So hard to find things and the product pages are a mess. Also, the product reviews aren't properly linked. They usually go to an image thumbnail, not the review itself. Very difficult to browse products because the UI is so cluttered.

I'd shop and purchase from Jerry's more if the website were easier to navigate. I can say this because I design websites and apps for a living.

Please fix! You'd get a higher conversion rate if the website had a better user experience.

We can only offer these free gifts until they run out as they are on a first-come, first-serve basis. We apologize greatly for this inconvenience as we did not think that these would run out so fast. I see that you did call our customer service department about this issue and we offered to include a different gift on your next order, or a $10.00 credit to use on your next phone order. Beware ordering easels

"I ordered a " solid oak" easel from Jerrys which was made with staples and hot glue, literally. It was/is a piece of junk. The bottom piece did not move up and down the easel, and staples were sticking out where the easel was supposed to travel if the piece had worked.
I took pictures, sent a video, no response. It took three phone calls, and two emails, the last saying that I had no option but to file a credit card dispute, to get a response from customer service. I then had to wait for a replacement part to be sent, which also did not work on the easel. Now the easel has to be boxed and prepped for UPS to pick back up and return to the drop-shipper before a refund can be initiated. Six weeks have passed since I placed the order and I have no working easel. An exercise in frustration and a huge waste of time. My hope is that someone will be able to benefit from reading this.

“We regret to hear that your order arrived in defective condition. As you know, this particular easel is drop shipped directly from the manufacturer. It did take the vendor two weeks to ship the easel to you. Unfortunately, we do not keep this item in our warehouse and are unable to rush drop ship items. Our records show that you contacted us last week about the damaged condition of the easel and that we arranged for the manufacture to send you replacement parts. We do apologize that the replacement parts did not resolve the situation. Our customer service representatives are currently working with the easel manufacturer to help you with returning it. Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We apologize sincerely if one of our representatives was less than courteous with you. A credit card chargeback is an unacceptable solution, and we apologize if that solution was presented to you. We prefer to speak to that representative in private about any misconduct. Jerry's takes orders for unavailable merchandise and doesn't tell buyer

"Ordering large amounts of supplies. First checking to be sure that inventory is in stock and available, and then the merchandise doesn't arrive. The onus in on the customer to call and then find out what was promised asap is actually on backorder by several months. Sales people have no contact with warehouse, and even when they do, the information given to purchaser is false."

“Thank you for contacting us. Our records show that the order you placed in your review profile was not influenced by a backorder or shipping delay. We are no longer accepting orders with out of stock items listed. If an out of stock item(s) ends up unavailable once the order hits our system, it will automatically cancel from the order. Instead, our system will allow the customer to receive an emailed alert when the item has returned to stock at our warehouse. We believe this will allow our company to process orders quicker and more efficiently, as well as put pressure on our vendors to provide these out-of-stock products in a timely manner. We offer you the ability to sign up to receive an “In Stock” alert on items that are marked “Out of Stock” on the product’s page on our website. When we receive the item back in stock at our warehouse, you will receive the emailed notification letting you know the product is now available to order.
