"I ordered a "reconditioned" 2 in 1 computer to replace another in use for home and light (but critical) business support. Following its ontime arrival the keyboard malfunctioned during setup. I contacted the service people at Joy and they offered to replace it once they verified return receipt of the malfunctioning machine (5-14 days after receipt) - a schedule was highly inconvenient due to the urgent need for a functioning computer. The service rep was very helpful and we decided to try a "dyi" attempt at servicing the keyboard. When i took off the back of the machine i could see that the representation as a reconditioned machine was clearly in error. There was a lot of dust and dirt inside the case. It was clear the case had never been opened. With this information they agreed to send a replacement on FedEx verification of shipment. I received it several days later and it appears to be working properly.
Every business has issues from time to time - it can't be avoided. The difference in customer experience is not whether you had a problem or not but how the company handled that problem. This would have rated 5 stars if the company had stated upfront and followed through with a policy of overnight shipping of the replacement product. The service guy was great but his company policy ties his hands to an understandable but outdated practice. The competition does this and so should they. "
