incompetent, useless, amateur thieves

"the customer service in this establishment is a joke at best. I ordered a wireless headset off their website, which included a return and refund option like anything else. no where on the website did it state that if the product is opened it cannot be returned unless faulty. NOWHERE. so when I received it, I deemed it unsatisfactory to my needs and decided to return it. a few days later I receive a call from a guy asking me what's wrong with it. I tell him why it doesn't fit it's purpose and my needs and he proceeds to tell me that that is not a valid reason to return in his opinion, and carries on quoting customer protection laws that he knows nothing about. I didn't have the energy to debate, so I conceded, he said he'll try again and get back to me. he didn't get back to me, instead I contacted customer service again who informed me that the item will be returned to me. I got the item back like a week later, to my horror, it came back without the charger cable that I originally returned it with. note that I returned it with everything intact, all the paper wrapping, the cable neatly wrapped in it's original packaging. i contacted customer service again immediately, who asked me to send them a picture of the empty space where the charger would go. a stupid request but I complied. he said he'd follow up with me, but he didn't. instead he arranged a return without getting back to me first. I spoke to another agent on the phone, who assured me that the pictures show the missing item, and that I'll either get my money back, or have the cable returned. I asked to speak to a manager. waited 2 days before one called. by then the item had been picked up. again he assured me that within 2 days, 3 max, the money will be back in my account. about 1 day later, I receive a call from another idiot in the inspection department, claiming nothing is missing and that they didn't lose anything and that they checked the cameras. needless to say, I blew up in his face. he said he'll check the cameras and get back to me, again no one did. instead a week later, I received a rude email stating that they're returning the headset, and that if I refuse to take it they will hold it in their depot for 30 days, till it's claimed, and that there is nothing wrong with it and essentially, I'm making things up. the headset arrives, looking like someone was playing football with the case, and surprise, surprise, the cable is there, except it's not in the original packaging, and crumpled like they've been playing around with it. a day later I received the same rude email again, like they don't even know, they've returned it. not to mention that you're supposed to sign a receipt upon accepting it, the receipt always came signed for me. absolute jokes, no apology, no call, no follow up. over a month of back and forth and ended up worse that how it started."

Scam Store

"I had never even heard of this store before I had a fraudulent transaction appear from my bank card. I attempted to get my money refunded via Chat, but the customer service person just kept saying that they couldn't find out who used my card details and to contact the police. The store is in Casablanca, I am in Australia. I work for an online store here, and our company would at least look into the transaction, and when found would be able to tell it wasn't me. This company is just a front for criminal activity."

Thieves

"Thieves! Stated on their website that if your order is over 200 EGP, you get a FREE delivery. And before placing the order, and even after placing it and getting a confirmation email, it was stated numerous times that I got a 40 EGP discount because my order exceeds 200 EGP.
I was supposed to pay 210 EGY only!!! BUT when I got the package, there was a huge printed sticker on the package stating that the total is 280 EGP!!!!!! Which is WAY MORE than the total before the discount even (250 egp)!!!
THIS IS A SCAM AND THEY STEAL MONEY ON PURPOSE! Do NOT ever trust their discounts, sales, black Fridays, ...etc. They will charge you even MORE than the total before the discount! Never shopping again at this garbage of a website.

If you want to lose your money - shop on Jumia!

"Buying online regularly, but so bad online shopping experience I have first time. Purchased the products which came to me even without the tickets! I have return the products, and never got my money back. Support is just useless, you will just find a new policy each time when you contact them. "

Terrible first experience

"I placed an order, the money was taken from my bank account within 2 days. After a few days, I was noticed that my order was canceled because it is not available anymore. Instead of refunding the money back to my bank account, they put it as a credit in Jumia account, this is their policy :)

I requested a refund back to my bank account. It has been a week, still did not receive it.

JUMIA EGYPT IS A SCAM

"I order an item

The seller delivered mea paper instead of the item and the paper stating that sorry this item is sold out and unfortunately i paid online.

Imagine paying for a paper that costs 500 L.E

I contacted their customer service million times. Whether on phone or in chat what they are saying that they are sorry and that someone is going to contact me tomorrow and tomorrow never comes

I tried to request a return for the paper i received and the dilvery man came and took the papet and gave me the receipt but at night he sent me a msg that he can't contact me and the item will be rescheduled for return

I was shocked !!!!!

How can a company do so !!!!!!!!!

I will never ever use their application

Bad service

"I was on the Jumia website about to make an order, when I called Jumia Customer Service to inquire about the returns policy. I was advised by Jumia Customer Service that returns could be effectuated within a 14 day period from receipt of the order. As such I went ahead with my order. The following day I get a call from Jumia to confirm my order and they inform me that I only had 24 hours to return the product! When I mention my call with Customer Service, I was told that Customer Service was another department!!! When I asked why was Customer Service giving out wrong information, they couldn't reply. I complained, they said they'd get back to me and surprise, surprise, they never did. Last time I order from them. Lesson learned!"

Worst Service! What a joke

"I ordered an item and unfortunately paid it online. On the day of the delivery after receiving an email notifying me that the order is on its way, the delivery team called to notify me that they need 2 business days for delivery. I told them I'll no longer be available at the delivery address then.

He confirmed delivering the following day. Then he disappeared, didn't show up and the number he called from is disconnected. Jumia's numbers only offer automated messages, can not talk to anyone and their email isn't working!! What a scam!!!

And now, can't cancel my order on the website because it is "out for delivery" Ha!!
Last time to every deal with such a pathetic service provider!

Be Aware of buying from Jumia -the product they advertise and price seems to be good to be true!!!- JUST PAY ON DELIVERY

"I bought eighteen items from them. I waited the product to be delivered, the day the product was ready for delivery Jumia send message with code , they told me to give the delivery company the code only after they deliver. The delivery company called me and told me they have 5 items that they wanted to deliver but they told me i needed to provide the code 1st and then they will deliver. I told them Jumia told me not to give the code unless you deliver. They said they will return the product unless I give the code. Jumia does not have an email or phone to contact them. All their communication is one way (ring ring) the can send you email text but you can not reach them. The product was returned- I now anticipate long process in recovering my money that I prepaid. if you must buy from them just choose the option of paying on delivery and lower your expectations.
