"A little story "WHICH" is true. Last year I was diagnosed with cancer. After surgery and 35 treatments with radiation I was told by my doctors I was cancer free. During this time I lost over 130 lbs. And of course nothing I had to wear fit any more, including my wedding ring. I had worn since 1968 that my wife placed on my finger. This ring has been on my finger for 46 years and only been off for very short periods when I was working on equipment. I had told my wife that when I was gone I wanted our only grandson to have it when he married.
My friend and I each year go on a deer hunting trip on some property he owns and have done this for years. Except last year since I was very sick during deer season. We were doing some cleaning around our hunting blinds and cleared some shooting lanes. After we left and were on our home I noticed my ring wasn't on my finger and that it must have slipped off while we were working. I knew my only hope of finding the ring if any was to have a good metal finder and try and retrace our actions of that day. I went on line and began to research metal finders and settled on the Garrett ACE 350, because of the reviews I read and it seemed to be simple to use for someone like me who has never used a metal finder.
I ordered it and received it very quickly. After reading the instruction book and watching the instruction cd, I went back to his hunting cabin for our deer hunting trip.
After deer hunting during the morning I broke out the ACE 350 and as best I could remember from the instructions set the metal detector. I started retracing our steps and actions we did in the area where I thought I had lost the ring. I had not gone 10 feet when the detector sounded, I pinpointed the area and raked back the leaves and there it was "MY GOLD WEDDING BAND". I can't tell you how happy I was. I'm glad to say the ring is locked away in my gun safe and will be worn by my only grandson If he wants one day. THANKS GARRETT for making a excellent metal detector that someone with no experience at all can use and have success with. "
