"I have made a few purchases from LA Police Gear, after being referred by a friend. My first order was on Christmas using a 15% coupon. I ordered a pair of boots which were on closeout. The boots did not fit and were returned (I Paid postage back of ($13 on a $29 pair of boots.) I failed to recive a credit notice and chatted online with someone from the company. I learned that from the $29.00 pair of boots I was charged a 15% "Restocking Fee," as "the boots were on clearance and we cant sell them!" What really struck is that I was charged the 15% fee for the "original price," not sale price.

I spoke to someone on the phone at LA Police Gear as the terms stated "MAY," charge between 5 and 15%. No go, even though I explained I had an order pending for $150 of stuff and had ordered recently another $100 of stuff.

I also paid for expited (3 day I think) shipping if memory serves, order placed 12/25, processed 12/28, I think it was received on January 4th or 8th! Another waste of money!

Long of short, I will NEVER buy a "closeout" or "Clearance" item from this company again. No sense in risking paying for the item. After all $13.95 in shipping and a restocking and other fees of $15 was the price of the boots! Most likely I will NEVER purchase and item from LA Police Gear again period, this is not a way to do business.

UPDATE: 02/26/2013; an email was recieved indicting a credit was being applied back to my charge card. It wsa nice to see that this wasa refunded back; however, it is too bad one must post a public comment to get the matter rectified. After all, 2 customer service agents sted fast that I would not get a refund. Once again thank you for crediting back my money."
