"We love La Petite at Gambrills. The staff is wonderful & clearly cares about our son. The one time we were less than thrilled (his former teacher wasn't ideal - would get him confused with another kid, forgot to mark things down etc.), the director was so responsive. Feedback was given & we also ended up moving rooms shortly thereafter b/c we hadn't been as happy with one teacher. That was an outlier though - the vast majority of our experiences have been great. Everyone clearly cares for our son & goes far beyond just keeping him safe - he's encouraged to walk, crawl, adventure, read, play with music etc. He's really getting a well rounded experience. We also love that they go outside on nice days."

The issues with teachers has been in the school age room and with the teacher's attitudes towards the kids; having the kids clean the room (their job); intimidating the kids; etc. Its almost like these teachers haven't fully matured or take pleasure in the position of power of the kids and abuse it."

"In general, I've been happy with La Petite. My son's teachers are very friendly and nurturing towards him. I sometimes feel like I wish I knew more about the day to day activities my son is doing. I'm very happy that the director has instituted more newsletters and calendars to keep parents informed. Sometimes at pick up time there seems to be a bit of chaos in the school. But I feel that the vast majority of the staff really likes and cares for my son and has his best interests at heart and that's really important to me."

"The center is great! Teachers and staff have all been very welcoming and friendly. The one issue I had in the beginning was getting a call back when calling prior to being enrolled. I ended up just stopping in unannounced when 2 of my phone calls and messages were not returned. Apparently the messages were not passed along. Not really that big of a deal...just a bit frustrating in the beginning."

"I feel like not only my child's teachers and the director-level staff have made an effort to get to know my child but the entire staff (even teachers not in his classroom). They all know him by name and are so friendly. It really puts my mind at ease that he is in good hands. It is really tough sometimes being away from my son 10 hours a day, but as my son's teacher told me, he is loved there too. Transitions can be hard for him but the staff have all gotten to know him and make a special effort to help him when he's having a hard time. In the morning he says I want to go to daycare! and that's the best review of all."
