"Stress, anxiety, frustration. We pay far too much to feel like our child is a burden for being there during operational hours because he shows up first, and they are trying to convince us to change our schedule to accomodate them"
"Kids spend way too much time outside.Today my kid was running around in the wet and cold weather outside with no shoe on one of his legs and no one noticed that the shoe was lying right under where the teacher was standing.Teachers aren't engaging or watching the children when they're outside."
"The only concern is the director keeps changing. Ms. Danielle was new and she has been really doing a great job and now she is leaving the school under a new director. There is no consistency. This is terrible. The same is with the teachers. There has been a lot of them coming and going."
"There's way too much outside time. Kids go out for an hour in the AM and then go out again at 4 PM until they get picked up at 5:30. Its more than 2 hours a day of outside time.Teachers need to engage with the kids when they are outside and not just let them run around.Try and get all kids involved in the daily activities.Talk to kids more often."
"Very lack luster truly, never greeted in the morning. Have to distract my own child the before leaving the center. The communication with management is poor or she seems to not really care. Things end up in other children’s cubbies without any idea of checking and making sure children’s belongings are going to the right child. It’s really frustrating that we pay so much for care but then have to turn around and pay again because of item displacement etc. My family has been looking to find another school to go too but can understand why there are wait lists at this time."
"Its been a horrible experience from start to finish. Capri has been hit by other kids stepped on while teachers watch and dont intervene."
"They have the most loving caring staff members, and my child loves all of them. It makes me feel like she is in a safe place with teachers who really care for her well."
"Great peace of mind when I drop off my kids because I know they’re in good hands"
"There's no weekly lesson plan.Kids spend way too much time outside. 1 hour in the mornings before lunch and 2+ hours in the afternoon. The teachers aren't engaging with the kids when they are outside."
"The teachers are so loving and kind. The director in Mill Creek Danille Smith need more training, kindness and compassion to all the parents."
"First director didn’t leave a positive taste in our mouths when he gave us a weird “don’t care” tour before he departed, but we went off a family referral. Then all the class changes, Some of these teachers show up and look like they don’t want to be here. The director also has that same expression on her face too, and is never usually available to answer questions or redirects you to someone else to answer if she is.I sure hope some of the small things can change to make it more enjoyable. I know somethings are in works of improvement with new staff on board now. Only time will tell, as my child like it here and the friends they have made."
"la petite academy at mill creek is the worst school ever that you can trust and put your kids with them.
1st thing is the hygiene is horrible when you walk thru the preschool 2 class, you will smell pee coming from bathroom and the kids are smelling it all day long, which is affecting the kids health.
The director Danielle is new cannot manage the school because every time teacher are calling sick she close the door on parents and don't let the kids in to school and send short notice until the last minute, that make parents frustrated and the don't know what to do or where to put their kids if the director didn't take them in.
The bad parts was when she sent me the message at the last minute and telling me that she un-enrolled my daughter without any reason! even I texted her no reply, basically she doesn't care about the kids feeling or the parents feeling.
Finally I don't recommend you to put your kids at this school until they get qualified directors that can solve the issues instead of kicking your kids out of the school without further notice."
"Overall great! They were able to get us enrolled quickly and have been very understanding as various situations arise."
"So far it’s been ok, my nephew came here and he loved it so we enrolled our child. She had been adjusting ok to it but there are some teachers who show concern and help redirect, others don’t get a clue. We’ve had an item go missing which was in her backpack with her name on it and still got stolen."
"I would love to see teachers welcoming the kids during the drop-off. Create a personal connection when they arrive. During school time, it would be great to engage with the kids personally often instead of letting them find their group and play. Individual connection between the teacher and the child is essential."
