"I placed an order with this company for the first and last time earlier in the month and after 4 days of my order sitting in 'processing' status I decided to call. I was told by the customer service rep that the order was in deed still being processed so I requested a cancellation since I couldn't wait another 3-4 days for it to hopefully be delivered. After confirmation that the order was cancelled, since it hadn't been picked, I placed my order with a different company and received my items within 2 days. I never received any information from the refund department as indicated by the customer service rep. Finally after about a week I received notification from PayPal that I received a partial refund. It took 2 additional emails, another call to customer service and a response to their 'how was your experience' survey to finally receive an email with highlighted text indicated that the $16 not refunded was for processing. Yeah... I'm not making that up. STAY AWAY! "
"It cost me $12 to ship 2 day fedex. Now it is 5 days no product. They have terrible reviews of expired products, refusing refund. If you do return to must pay for signed return, and get rma # which they never send you. Stay away."
"Placed order as usual on 4/25. Could only send I item but charged for both items. They never refunded the difference off almost 50.00 Althea kept saying they would. Never got the money back and it’s been almost two months. These people are small time con artists. And will rip you off first chance they can get. Notified my bank and filed fraud affidavit. "
"Ordered and paid $12.99 for 2 day shipping on items I needed. Placed order on Thurs. They send me tracking number, showing item eta is Tues. That is 5 days later, didn't spend extra for 5 day delivery nor would I have ordered if I new they couldn't actually supply fast delivery. First time/last time customer. They need to refund my outrageous shipping fee."
"I ordered heartworm and flea/tick pills for my dog online and selected the "I will send you my original written Rx" option. I also made a comment on the order asking them to NOT use the UPS/USPS hybrid shipping method that they tout because my post office is astonishingly sucky at meeting the delivery commitment with this method. I requested that Lambert use USPS...without the UPS initial part. Then I realized that I couldn't find Lambert's mailing address for sending the hard copy Rx so I sent them an email asking which address to send my Rx to.
Next day they called me to make sure I had the correct mailing address (by then I had found it through their website FAQ). They also told me that they wouldn't be using the hybrid shipping method because they have had the same experience with other customers. The CS agent told me that they ship all orders over $200 FED EX for free so I could expect to receive my order that way. And she made sure that I knew that they would not ship my stuff until they had the hardcopy Rx in hand. All good.
So...my order arrived by USPS First Class (not FedEx nor the hybrid method). That's fine, just not consistent with what they said they would do. All meds came with exp date 1 year post receipt...so the last dose will be given at the exp date. No margin for error here.
I have used this company several times over the years. Have always mailed the written Rx. I had a problem one time like 5-6 years ago when the pharmacist refused to fill the Rx because the dog's last name/address wasn't consistent with the mailing address. (I was shipping to a more secure address) He just blew off the whole order and I had to make a phone call to ask about the whereabouts of my order. I got yelled at by the pharmacist because some law was being broken by having different addresses... Yes, they are very particular about the specifics of the Rx. They have a list of requirements for a written Rx on their website. You definitely need to abide by it.
So yeah, I always kind of hold my breath when I order from these guys, but it seems to work out."
"It's been over 2 months since I ordered a year supply of trifexis from this company. Not only did I never receive the product, but after countless calls, the company has admitted that they sent it to the wrong address, yet, they are not willing to do anything to resolve the issue. Basically, I paid $171.48 for a product that I will never receive. I have been in constant contact with Dianne, the Customer service rep. Although she is nice, she has done absolutely nothing to help us. She even asked us to go to the post office and try to locate the product----after she admitted to mailing it to the wrong place!! No luck at the post office, no luck with Lambert, leaving us to take it up with the bank. Save yourself the frustration and go with a better company. "
"I ordered some fish tank filters from them. The website said it would be 2 day shipping. 7 days later I call them because the package is still not here and I hadn't even received the email that said it had shipped. Their customer support transferred me to some other company (I think the one that runs their website) who gave me the number of their supplier. They wanted me, the customer, to call up their supplier and track down my order in one of their several warehouses. That is ridiculous. Would not recommend buying from them if you want what you are ordering."
"Not impressed. I am assuming they distribute nearly expired items for big discounts. The item I ordered was expiring within 35 days. When I wrote customer service they never returned my inquiry, so that was strike two. I'm sure there are better places to buy online."
"Puzzled by the negative reviews. We ordered dog toothpaste at half of the vets price and an oral gel at one third of our vet on 11/21/15. We received numerous e-mails about our shipment and they said it would arrive on 11/27/15. It arrived on time. Same products as the vet. We are very pleased."
"Charged my credit card. I heard nothing more. Days went by. I contacted them. Received a call back, employee had gone on vacation and never finished placing my order. Item is no longer available. Yes they refunded my card, but doesn't make up for the interest $ my credit card was acquiring during the time the employees lack of doing her job/finishing placing my order and vacationing was going on."
"Extremely similar experience to Billiardsbabe! I ordered flea and tick meds and the customer service reps at Lambert gave me the run-around about not being able to get in touch with my vet for several weeks. When I got that straightened out, they said my product had been shipped. When I still didn't have the meds or a shipping confirmation a week later, I called them back (seriously, the ninth time I had to call these people) only to learn the product was back ordered. It seemed that my order sat unattended until I would call, and then they would lie and say "We just heard from your vet today," or "We just shipped it this morning." I sent a letter to their corporate offices three weeks ago, but have yet to receive a response.
I was sucked into their extremely low prices, but it's worth paying an extra $20 not to deal with these headaches (and itchy dogs)."
"Placed an online Rx order on May 22, 2015. They were supposed to contact the vet for Rx approval. Never heard from them. I called them on May 26 and was shuffled around to different reps and was finally told by the "online rep" that my vet had been faxed and they hadn't heard back from them. I called my vet and they said they never rec'd a fax. I called Lambert back to make sure they had the correct fax number...they did. Rec'd an e-mail from Lambert that evening saying they had faxed my vet and were waiting for approval. Never heard back from Lambert. June 1st went to my vet's office and they still had not heard from Lambert. I called Lambert to find out what was going on and was told no "online reps" were available to help me and when I requested a supervisor was told no supervisor was available. The girl told me a memo was left about my order and that it was dated May 26th stating the vet had not responded to their fax. I went back to the vet's office and they told me no fax had been received from Lambert. I canceled my order with Lambert. This is not the first time they have given me problems. It has happened 4 previous times over the past couple of years. I will never use them again and I highly recommend you do not do business with them. Poorest customer service I have ever experienced. "
"I ordered 4 packs of 6 month supply of heart work medication for my pet, but the pharmacy sent me medication that expires in 1 yr, so why did they approve me for 2 years worth of medication? Definitely won't be ordering from a Lambert Vet Supply. Trust the reviews, and don't waste your money and time giving Lambert a chance like I did. Customer service said they can't give me a credit or let me return the product, how pathetic, so much for customer satisfaction. Why should I pay for your pharmacys mistake?"
"I had a major problem with a customer service agent after I was misled about a product's efficacy and I was told that there was nothing she could do to help me. Well, believe in the power of a well-written complaint people! I just received a call from a Sales/CS Manager from LVS and not only is she going to conduct a little re-education with her CS agent, but they actually made the situation right and gave me a discount and free shipping on my next future order. Let this be a lesson to all companies... This is the way to retain loyal customers. 1) Provide oustanding customer service and 2) When that can't be helped or problems arise, make it right. "
