"I purchased the battery for my Dell Inspiron 8100. The price was $15 to $20 higher than other sellers, but the guarantee is longer than any other seller, 2 years. The battery was brand new, never charged. The instructions to condition the battery so that it performs properly are precise, but the process of charging and discharging becomes tedious. My friend's cheaper, identical battery came somewaht charged but fully operatonal (although with 1 yr guarantee, only).

The battery life after conditioning is 2:45hr, with power saver features OFF. The only programs running in the background were AVG antivirus and the wireles connection to the net. The battery life is close to Dell's original specs. I have not had the oprtunity to verify that the battery is holding the charge for a period of 1-2 eweeks. It does hold the charge foe 1 -3 days.

The seller's service was excellent. The web page is very clear, but there was some uncertainty as of whether the battery found by their data base search was actuamy for my Inspiron 8100. My call to the seller was answered with courtesy and precision, and they verified that their search result was correct. The invoice is clean of other clutter, and they do provide a phone number, which more and more companies try to avoid.

All in all, I am very satisfied with the purchase, but I wish that the battery did not need so much TLC at the begining."
