"I ordered the battery for my laptop (Sony) and it arrived relatively quick. The battery was silver and the existing one in laptop was black which I would have thought it would at least match the color. I chose the right model on the site as well.
However the battery did not work with the laptop. Sony laptops easily reject third party batteries. Looking online it appears it's throughout the Sony brand. This website had a link to a bios flash that supposedly would fix. The program was in broken and unintelligible English but I gave it a try anyway. No go. No other fixes online seemed to work either. Many VAIO laptops have battery rejection built into the mother board.
I was VERY disappointed that this wasn't known about by the company. They should have at least tested their batteries to make sure they work with the laptop brand. Fortunately they have a good return policy (45 day satisfaction). However i'm out the shipping cost for the return. Seems like an easy fix they could do (test the batteries) to see if they would even work with the models they sell for."
