"I received a battery for Lenova T430 but the computer said it wasn't an official battery and would not charge it. The work arounds did not work so I tried another battery. Again the same issue. Despite the good customer service and returns policy it was disappointing not to have a more straightforward solution to getting a replacement battery. Moral of the story - some computers are too smart to be fooled by generic batteries and retailers don't know enough to guarantee the compatibility."
