"bought the helmet after reading the reviews but the reviews weren,t accurate as to the "low profile - no mushroom head look". Wanted to return helmet for refund but I would have to pay return shipping. Shipping would be $17 UPS or $15 USPS. The initial shipping was$7 . So with spending $22 to $24 dollars in shipping I would get back about $10. On the plus side , the original shipping was extremely fast. I'm just irritated that now I have a helmet that I'll never use."

"Went down in another HJC Cl-17 going about 35. It saved my life although I broke my collarbone but the helmet took a hit. I did have a concussion but other than that I survived a crash around a corner that should have gone a lot worse. Overall this helmet is a great beginner helmet that saved my life. "
