"Learning about Liberty Healthshare and what they are doing with health sharing is amazing. I personally saved money with my current coverage switching to Liberty Healthshare. I even lowered my overall out of pocket cost. They are also staffed with amazing customer service who are knowledgeable and prompt. Anything you need or questions you have they get you an answer or solution. It has been an absolute pleasure using Liberty Healthshare."
"I became a member of Liberty HealthShare in early 2014*. Thankfully, we are a very healthy family so aside from an occasional doctor visit for a virus or ear infection, we have not had to access much care. We have yet to reach our Annual Unshared Amount! The few bills we have had have been processed efficiently and returned to us reflecting a discounted self-pay patient amount. Overall, I am thrilled with the costs that have been associated with our membership vs what we would be paying if we had opted to keep an insurance policy.
Living in northeast Ohio, we have access to great hospitals. They have different specialities so if an injury or serious illness were to occur, we have amazing opportunity. I like that LIberty allows us to choose the doctors and hospitals/systems we want for our families. Not everyone has the option. It is one of the reasons I opted for a healthier sharing ministry.
Finally, I chose healthcare sharing for the shared beliefs. I know that the money I share for the medical expenses of other members is being used wisely and in ways that don't compromise my morals.
*I joined in early 2014, did some consulting to the org in spring/summer 2015 and ended up accepting a full time position with the org in August of 2015."
"There is a lot of flexibility in what provider you can have as well as what is covered in the plan. In general, we feel like Liberty is constantly coming up with ways to save us money and make things easier, which is quite the opposite from some other insurance providers we've had."
"My wife and I were struggling with our insurance, which was costing us $750.00 a mth with a $10,000.00 deductible. We knew the only reason we should keep is was in case of a catastrophic event, in which case we still may be bankrupted be caused of the large deductible. I had told my wife we were going to just have to do without coverage and hope and pray that we stayed healthy. We had already become self-pay without even thinking about it because our "insurance" didn't benefit us with the day to day illnesses and accidents that occur in life.
Just so you know, I'm an insurance agent who has been in the business for 22 years and have seen many changes, including the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. When the Supreme Court decided that it was a "tax", and therefore legitimate, and the Federal government had the right to impose penalties on anyone not participating, I knew we were in trouble. The realization struck home that my wife and I were in a serious pinch. We wanted and needed coverage, but we couldn't afford insurance or the penalties that were going to be imposed if we didn't have it. That's when my prayers were answered. One evening while perusing different articles on the Web, I came across some information on Christian organizations who were doing something special called "sharing of health care costs". I read it and started digging, looking for more info, as this sounded like something that would meet our needs and the needs of other Christians who were probably in the same situation. Through my research, I ran across Liberty Healthshare and read everything on the website, then call my wife to come and see what I had found. Being a fairly frugal individual, a decision was made to call the toll free number and ask questions in order to confirm how it works. Best phone call I've made it years! We nervously signed up with an effective date of June 1, 2014 and I decided to get a physical in August. It worked perfectly! The cost was shared with members just like it was supposed to. But, the real test came in October when my wife fell and broke her foot. I took her to the emergency room, handed the lady sitting behind the desk my ID card and asked if she would file it for me. She said yes and the rest is history. Liberty Healthshare is the answer to our prayers, and has also been for many other good people who have found themselves in the same difficult position as we were. Personally, I've given the Web address to dozens, perhaps hundreds, of people over the last 2 1/2 years. The sharing of our needs is what the people of this country should be doing, and that's coming from me, an insurance agent who makes his living normally selling insurance. God bless all of those who started this group, work for this group or, are members of this group."
"I was hesitant to try a less conventional way to pay for my mecical expenses. I have been more then pleased with the coverage and ease of use. I did have to make an initial call to my main provider, but after that have only checked on my account to make sure everything is correct, and it pretty much just takes care of itself, just like conventional insurance. Love paying my monthly share amount knowing it's going to someone directly, to help with medical cost. Very Happy I decided to try Liberty Healthshare!"
"We are very pleased with Liberty Health Share. Not only the excellant service when we call in but to just how pleasant everyone we have dealt with is.. Like the monthly newletter and ideas and testimonials from other share holders. So far so good.. Keep up the good work..

"Liberty HealthShare is cost sharing done correctly - a voluntary and cooperative community that strives to keep members' costs down while increasing access through a cash/self-pay system. That means that members don't contribute to a resource pool that funds objectionable procedures, there's no infantilizing and immoral individual mandate to participate, and there's no narrow network of providers. It does mean that responsibility for healthcare costs returns to where it should be - the member.
Until providers become more familiar with this type of healthcare payment system, expect to spend a little time with the provider's finance department. Before I became a member, I did just that because I was skeptical it would be accepted. Don't be discouraged if the finance department is confused; both the representative and her supervisor made a couple calls to Liberty before understanding the process, but once they did so, they readily accepted Liberty.
Before a double-hernia operation, the provider alerted me that the reimbursement schedule from Liberty resulted in a $2K discrepancy for which I'd be responsible. Liberty assured me that the discrepancy didn't really exist and, if it did, Liberty would reimburse me fully. I decided to trust the new process and pay the $2K while I had surgery and the schedule was sorted out. Ultimately, Liberty was correct - there was no discrepancy, my bills were paid quickly and in full, and the provider soon reimbursed the $2K. I suspect that this extra step wouldn't happen next time.
And what's more? My unshared amount (equivalent of a deductible) is lower than if I had inferior, traditional insurance with a provider network. After years of constantly increasing healthcare premia, my monthly expense actually decreased last year thanks wholly to Liberty. As long as you know that there may be a little legwork on the front end, I heartily recommend Liberty HealthShare.

"Liberty Health Share was a true god-send for us. We had no idea it existed but it fits the principles we believe in and have believed in for a long time. We hated having insurance and paying huge premiums because we don't really use the services. We don't go to the doctor frequently, we believe in eating healthy, exercise and eating organic, good quality food w/ minimal or no processing. And we grew up in a culture that believed in taking care of each other--all things Liberty promotes! When ACA was enacted, we found we could NOT keep the plan we previously had. And a bronze plan (which was the best we could afford) would raise our premium almost 150% while increasing our deductible. We weren't able to see the doctors we like already and had to pay out of pocket since we don't always see traditional MDs. Our doctor is traditionally trained MD but also practices a more integrative medicine. The deductible is so low for each person or for the family--we couldn't believe it! Our out of pocket now is about 10-15% of what it would have been with an ACA plan. More importantly, we feel good about supporting others who are looking to stay healthy and trying to keep medical costs in line. Initially, we were concerned whether bills would be paid, etc. This is all new to us, but not new & our doctor knew about Liberty Health Share. We've seen different doctors for different reasons and no issues at all. We love Liberty Health Share!"
"Liberty Healthshare is like a friendly teammate. Phone calls are answered promptly and in person like a teammate; health or financial issues are handled with both the reason and kindness of a teammate; and the cost is one a fair teammate would ask of another. We love working with you guys to achieve our goal of great health- it makes us feel like we will win it :).
Thank you!"
