i ordered a lighter with 2 day shipping delivery that i upgraded because of the urgency. This was on a Monday.
On Tuesday i noticed that i didn't get any confirmation so i called, to my surprise they were out of stock of the product i had selected so they were gonna send it to me the next time that was on stock, which was 4 days after i put my order in.
The only reason i found out is because i called. lighters Direct had no intention of letting me know i wasn't gonna get my product on time. When i spoke to the representative, he didn't honor my 2 day shipping and shipped it in one day shipping instead as a whole day had gone by. Instead they offered me to choose another product which i did, and they sent me that product to arrive 2 days after the call.
When out of stock you have to show it on your website.
when someone orders something that you forgot to take out of the website because you were out of stock you have to let the customer know.
when a customer orders something for 2 day shipping and it is your incompetence the reason for the delay, the customer should be refunded or compensated with a 1 day shipping.

"Was very disappointed in the lighter that I received. It was nothing like the product shown. Instead of the being engraved or even painted, it had a small sticker on it that only covered the bottom half of the Zippo. And even the sticker was slightly crooked. It was so small that the words were illegible. I promptly returned the lighter on 6-21-16 and still have not received a refund to my credit card. I would have been willing to work with them on making other arrangements, but the customer service rep that I spoke to seemed genuinely disinterested. At this point I just want my refund and to forget the entire experience."
