"We purchased a Lorex HDIP86W from Lorex Technology on November 2, 2016. The order was delayed because the NVR was out of stock. When it was shipped, the NVR was upgraded to the newer model with a 2tb hard drive instead of the 1tb originally listed. What a nice upgrade at no additional charge. The installation of the cameras, cat5e cable and nvr was pretty simple. I had a little difficulty with the settings and tech support was very busy because I was setting it up on Cyber Friday weekend. I was able to figure it out and contacted tech support the following Saturday without any wait. They are very helpful and do not rush one bit. I would buy from Lorex again and have recommended them to family and friends."

"I used several other brands of Home Security cameras for a number of years and have always dreaded the process of setting up remote viewing. With Lorex Technology, those days are GONE! I have dealt with allot of different companies through the years.
I myself wanted to upgrade my house with the newest technology but had a small budget.
I wanted all the bells and whistles that people do not realize when looking for a camera setup.
I did my research and I tried out Lorex.
It was the best bang for the buck, so I figured I would try this setup.
I got the "1080p IP camera system with 4 HD 1080p security cameras, 2TB Hard drive, 130FT night vision, NVR"
It came with 4 cameras and it is an 8ch NVR (Network Video Recorder)
The install went so smooth and I always rate my installs by a failure ratio.
Meaning, the old days of BNC connectors and Siamese cable, not every install would be at 100% when completed so i would always have to go back and double check everything.
This install was 100%, first try.
I have been also working with their tech support on setti9ng up the DDNS and a halo glow around a few cameras when night vi9sion is on.
And that's the other thing, they have tech support.
Most times in the past you did an install you were on your own.
My bottom line, being an experienced installer.....

"This company is the absolute worst! I received an offer email from them on November 23rd. On the 25th I bit and bought the system. My expected delivery was set for the 3rd of December. December 3rd came and went, so on the 7th decided to check the status.
To my shock it stated still in warehouse and expected delivery was now the 15th. I then checked the next day and saw they added another day to the wait. I decided to call them and ask why is the day now the 16th. They promised me it would be shipped on Friday. I checked once again on Friday and now it said the 17th. So I called once again.
This time the rep told me that iit will be expedited today and that they will email me with a tracking number and will call me when it ships. I still did not get a number or a shipment. I won't hold my breath on the call. I tried calling yesterday and did not get through.
Today, it states the 19th as the delivery. I called sales to read them the riot act. Thee sales rep did the usual, put me on hold for a very long time, came back, and told me she will expedite my ticket, without asking my name, order number, or my phone number. I called her out on this and eventually hung up on her after she would not let !e speak with a manager.
I checked the BBB and was stunned to see they have an F rating. Had I'd known that I would have avoided them. I've used them in the past and had no problem, that's why I didn't check them before buying from them."
"When I ordered this it had a delivery date of Dec. 5, then 6th, then 7th, then 8th then 9th then 10th then 11th then 12th and as of today the 13th. I have called several times to get the answer that it should of shipped by now and that it is packed and just waiting for the shipper to pick up and they would send a message to the warehouse to ship it right away and still nothing. It has been in the warehouse since Nov. 26th. I can't believe in this day and age that it takes several days for a shipper to pick up and no body can give me a straight answer. One customer service guy told me it was because they were so busy because of cyber Monday, that could be true but if my order was in the warehouse two days before cyber Monday it should not have any effect on my order. As of today it says it is still in the warehouse, I want to know what is going on. On your web site it says orders ship in one day it has now been in the warehouse for over a week and seven days since they said it was packed and ready for pick up. I have been told a week ago that a ticket was made to rush delivery and I should gas
get a call or email in 2 days. then again last Friday they said I should have a answer in 2 days, then on Monday was told the same thing still no call or email. Now it has been over a week since I was told it was packed and waiting for the shipper to pick up."
"Terrible customer service and overall experience.
Purchased a product, they sent me a different product, which after doing some review, seems to be similar to what I ordered, but NOT what I ordered. I just dealt with it, because after waiting two weeks for delivery I was needing a video solution PDQ.
After 1 month, night vision in one of my cameras simply stopped working. I created a support ticket and hadn't heard back after two weeks (the ticket still states NEW, not ASSIGNED). Their support centre is a glorified reception desk; they couldn't assist me and only said they'd get someone to call me back...three days later, still waiting.
Very poor customer service. If a company doesn't appreciate its customers, please DON'T support them. There are more than enough other company's out there and this market is competitive. Find someone else who will stand behind their product!"
