"They seem to be very indifferent about doing business and rely on the impersonal use of flash email which do not answer one's questions or inquiries. By the way, your i-pod giveaway should read "an Apple i-pod", not "a Apple I-pod." Only if you wish to follow the rules of proper English composition. Best Regards, Bob Nelson"
"This is my updated, new review. Lovingtheclassics Emailed me, asking that I review them. I wonder if I can get their attention this way, as I've been Emailing their customer service department, and calling them on the phone for months and have not heard back lately.
The short review is: DO NOT BUY FROM lovingtheclassics. Here's why:
Five months ago I ordered four DVD's. I also asked if the DVD's i ordered were subtitled. I didn't get an answer for several, maybe 6 weeks. Finally someone responded saying that only one of the films I ordered had subtitles. It didn't say this on the film's pages. - This was weeks and weeks after I placed my order, and the items hadn't even be shipped yet. Not only that, but they never told me why there was such a long delay. So I Emailed them saying I only wanted the film with subtitles; that I wanted to cancel the rest of the order (it still hadn't shipped).
A few weeks later I got an email from them stating that they were sending out the one DVD I still wanted, and that they were going to "begin the refund process" that weekend. That was a couple of months ago. In the time that has elapsed, I've called and Emailed them 2 or 3 dozen times and haven't heard a single word back.
Yet, nearly everyday I open my Email and see an automated ad. sent from them. This latest one was asking me to review their site and service on here, so here I am.
It's been five months now, since I first placed the order. Probably three months since they said they were going to begin the refund process, and therefore three months since I've heard a single word from them. They never told me what took the first DVD so long to arrive (2 months). They haven't updated me on the refund process either. I tell you I email them or call them several times a week and they will not respond, let alone refund my money.
So, I have to say in all earnestness, be very wary of buying from this company. I've never ever seen customer service this bad. - Hey lovingtheclassics... Why haven't you responded to me? Please refund my money. It's been a really really long, inexcusable amount of time.
I've taken down the positive review I left last year.
Shopping/dealing with LovingtheClassics has been the single worst online shopping experience I've ever had, and it isn't even over yet."
"I have not received the package yet. Based on the mail preference that I chose, it should have been here days ago. It was ordered on 14 Sep. Subsequently received a notification on 19 Sept that it was shipped and should be to me in 1-3 days. More than 10 days for priority mail is not what was expected.
The plus for the site is the accessibility to a wide selection of old/classic movies that can not be or are hard to obtain. Receiving them needs to be fixed and it will be a great site!"
"good response time to my email requests"
