WOULDNT GO BACK IF THEY WERE GIVING THE FLOORING AWAY!!!!!! HORRIBLE COMPANY AND SERVICE

"There is not enough room in this box to tell about the HORRIBLE experience I have had with this company. From the awful customer service to not telling you they dont deliver the materials you buy from them..the idiots they sent to measure took the wrong measurements and were two hours late to do the measurements. It took Travis "the salesman" if that is what you want to call this idiot over an hour to bring out three boxes of additional flooring I had to go back to pick up because their people mismeasured. "

No samples

"I am remodeling my house so I called Lumber Liquidators for some flooring....enough to cover 2500 square feet. I thought I should start with some samples. I called and they said they were on there way, that was over a month ago. Needless to say I still don't have my samples and I am going with a different flooring store."

Really bad flooring

"We purchased flooring from lumber liquidators for our rental home and turned out to be bad flooring, it was advertised as scratch resistant well it was anything but, it started scratching like butter, a day after it was in, even with pads on the bottom of items, The rep called me back with a very rude tone to her voice, with a loophole with their definition of scratch resistant, it was nothing but a loophole answer. She even told me that and i quote(EVEN METAL AND STEELE AND BRICK Scratch.) So the bottom line is because of (their) definition of scratch resistant they are going to do nothing about the bad flooring they sold us, we were told basically to bad so sad. We will never buy from them again. I encourage all consumers to stand up against this kind of corporate powertrip bullying and boycott this bad company. This may be the reason why they have been sued in the past. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM."

Defective Flooring

"We purchased Brazilian Koa Manufactured flooring and had it professionally installed. After just 9 months the wood is cracking and it's not just a few boards. We're noticing more and more every day. Called LL and they sent a "flooring inspector" to do their tests. Got the results that it is due to high humidity (58 to 64 percent) and improper installation. The installer we used has 25 years experience installing flooring so is plenty experienced. In fact the inspector commented that it was obvious that our installer knew what he was doing. The humidity level in our home is NEVER between 58 and 64 percent. We're out $5,500 for defective flooring plus what it is going to cost to tear it out and replace it. Beware of dealing with LL, they have no warranty and don't stand behind their products!!!!!!"

"When they did not have my items at the location in Mentor I was told the Brookpark location did have my order in stock.

I picked up on my lunch break and my order was ready to go.

Poor Quality and Service

"If I could give zero stars, I would. The horrible customer service and product continues... First, we measured the space for the flooring we needed. We were doing A LOT of work, as we were remodeling our entire house. Bottom line, we spent in the neighborhood of $6,000 on product (wood for main floor, vinyl for downstairs). So, we took the room measurements to the store, and were told how many boxes of each product we needed to purchase.
When the installer came to do the work and began opening boxes of the hard wood, some of the material was damaged. I called LL and was told that they do not take back damaged material, so I was out of luck. The second problem was that even with a significant amount of damaged material, there were still multiple unopened boxes of the wood left over. I again called LL and was told to bring it into the store. So, we loaded it all up and drove into the store. When we arrived, they said that they could not accept any of it because it had been more than 60 days since we bought it (EVEN THOUGH THE BOXES WERE NEVER OPENED AND IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE). We left angry.
Fast forward a year. We had some water damage downstairs and needed to re-order some of the vinyl. Called LL, as they were the only company to carry this vinyl. They said that the item had been discontinued so they only had about half of what we needed in the store, and would call around for the rest. They were able to find the rest of the materials that we needed, but charged us more than the cost of the material in shipping!!! Even though their website says free shipping to local store, they refused to honor it. So, a small project to repair water damage just turned into an expensive project! They don't care what happens once they have your money. DON'T SHOP AT LUMBER LIQUIDATORS!!!!!!

I don't even think thus us worth my time complaint about the 2nd crappy flooring we had gotten from lumber liquidators.

"The experience if the sales are great. They will do anything to sell people crap. This is our second ti.e with crap flooring. What happened to the 50 year warranty. Well let me tell you. There is not one. Warranty means nothing. You ask a rep and they have no clue what you are talking about. I will never deal with Lumber Liquidators again. They do not stand behind their products and only give maybe a 1/3 back on your cost. There's your warranty for you. So so so diappointed."

Lousy Customer Service

"My husband went to the Mentor Ohio store to purchase flooring I had never visited a Lumber Liquidators before. The stores power was out. There were 2 clerks behind the counter and we were the only ones in the store. I asked the sales clerk some questions about vinyl plank flooring and he was rude and impatient with us. I felt like we were bothering him. We picked out our flooring and he curtly told us he cant ring us up because as we can see the power is out. I told him I wish he had told us that before we spent 30 min picking out our flooring and he just stared at us...no apology. I was pretty insulted to be treated so rudely so we walked out of the store. We went next door and ordered our flooring at Lowes.

I can understand the power being out and things happen but there was no reason the salesman could not tell us in advance that we would not be able to place an order today and there is never an excuse for rude behavior.

I cant see myself shopping at Lumber Liquidators again in the future After seeing their BBB negative reviews of post sale experiences I am not sorry we walked out.

All Positives

"I was reluctant to buy laminate flooring from Lumber Liquidators after all I read. I had samples from all the well known manufacturers. When I drove up to Lumber Liquidators I was surprise to see numerous vans parked in the parking lot. Some vans were from highly recommended and reputable flooring contractors picking flooring. I had done all my research. I settled on an AC5 water resistant laminate floor. I took a sample home, which was manufactured in Germany, and did all my tests. I hit it with a hammer (x5) then gouge it with a screw driver several times and finally submerged in water for 24 hours and then let dry. Nothing except a slight mark from the screw driver, some major brands didn’t hold so well. It wasn’t easy, but my wife and I installed over 3 days. Five months later with a 60 lb dog, 4 grandchildren and heavy traffic, it looks new. On the first day my dog peed on it, so far so good. By the way, I’m a 70 years old with no experience or knowledge.

Vinyl Flooring

"We purchased flooring for our entire home. We decided on the vinyl flooring which was supposed to be durable with a 25 year warranty. Instead, it fell apart and separated. The Austin manager admitted the flooring was no longer made, as it was too thin. The company blamed our installation and humidity in our floors and refused to give any retribution. Do not purchase their flooring. "

FAKE WARRANTY

"Their claim that they warranty their product is complete BULLSH*T. Shortly after our floor was professionally installed it started warping in multiple spots. It soon spread to almost the entire floor so I requested the wood be replaced under warranty. They completely refused. After researching it turns out that EVERYONE who purchased the line of flooring we purchased had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. Lumber liquidators sold 100% defective product and has refused to own up to it. Thanks to their lies I've now wasted several thousand dollars to get new flooring. Don't buy from these A*SHOLES."

Buyer Beware: Corporate and Santa Clarita store do not stand behind their product.

"DO NOT, DO NOT purchase anything from this company. This store has a good selection of floors and at times offers very good sales. The staff was friendly and seemed knowledgable about their products but clueless about installation. So they referred us to their "top installer" and that they were recommending him VERY highly. Purchasing from this store and chain has been our biggest regret. We purchased flooring for our whole house, 2,000 sf and went with their recommended installer, Mario Galvez. Installation was two weeks behind schedule since he kept taking other jobs that "should've taken less time" but didn't. This made us feel like we were not a priority. The one week installation that we were told turned into a three week nightmare with one thing after another going wrong. Our vacation plans were ruined. The major headache during the installation was that the installer didn't measure right and we had to continually go back to the store to buy more material. A week after the installation was completed, some of the boards started to noticably shift. I called Mario, the installer and he would not return my phone calls. Six months later, I finally got a hold of him and we scheduled for him to come see the floors. He sent his son, a want to be installer, and he said that yes that the boards needed to be fixed and would tell his dad. We called and called to no avail. We finally got a hold of him and we scheduled for him to come out to make the repairs. He was a no show and has not returned any of our calls for the last 6 months. Finally called Lumber Liquidators, and they would not accept any responsibility for the installation, even though the installer was an approved LL installer. Called corporate office and they basically said the same thing. Lumber Liquidators basically does not want to stand behind their product. The bottom line is that once you purchase any material from them that you are on your own and there really are no warranties. Lumber liquidators does not stand behind their product and installation and this is coming from both corporate and the Santa Clarita store. I do not recommend that you purchase anything from this or any other LL location.

Great place to get floors

"I purchased enough flooring for an entire house on line. I needed to sign paperwork so someone else could pick it up. They worked with me so I could sign paperwork in Virginia and another person picked up the flooring in Pennsylvania. I later realized that I purchased flooring that required gluing which I did not want. They gladly took back the old floor and allowed me to exchange it for a new product. The manager at the Stroudsburg, PA store has been awesome to work with and based on this experience I would not only recommend them but will use them again in the future when I need flooring."

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVCE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED

"From the very beginning it started off wrong, I tried to use Ebates, (because they offered it) but the app would not work, then after waiting several days to get the phone call that my order had arrived I receive an email saying that I had to download the receipts , sign them and return them to the co, before my order could be shipped, I gave my credit card, and thought all was well, not so, they contact me to say that my order was there and could be picked up , not bothering to tell me that I still had to pay for the second 1/2 of the order, I sent a friend 30+MILES ONE WAY to pick it up, only to be told that the rest of the order must be paid for first, my friend did not have that much money with him, us not having been told that we had to bring the bal due on the order, so he had to turn around and go all the way back home without the order. At this point I totally expect them to return my order to the place it originated from and give me a hassle in getting my so called deposit back. I am tee totally and completely disgusted with the way they have treated me, I really truly hope they do not give me any more grief over this order."
