"Ordered Tv came while I was on vacation as soon as I returned I opened undamaged box TV display was cracked in several places. modia said no problem what a joke they would not work with us what so ever took them to court. Modia did not respond as they felt they didnt need to since they were out of state Modia lost the court case and refuses to pay up. Modia claims they are a NO RETURN company too bad they never notified me up this. Never buy from this company they are criminals in my book and you cant get pass a few people who even change their names are calls. It would hve been nice if I could have ever spoke to someone of authority. A year later nothing resolved except I have a useless TV in my garage. "
"Modia does not honor its pricing. I have tried to resolve a complaint with Modia since Thankgiving. I ordered 3 TVs online through their website. They cancelled the order with no explanation. After multiple attempts to resolve, I have given up on Modia forever. Customer service says a manager will call but never does. Be warned. If you get a good price, you will likely never receive your order. They caused me to miss out on lots of other specials while trying to get them to honor my order. I will not be doing business with Modia ever again. "

"This company is a scam. I placed an order for a product on sale at a price of $534. The order went through. Then, about 6 hours later I got an email stating the order was cancelled because the item was not available. I checked the website and the item was still showing "in stock", but now with a price of $799. I called and was told the item is not in stock. I asked if they could just leave the order there and send the item when it comes in stock. They said yes, but I would need to re-order, at the $799 price. Stay away from this company!
***UPDATE*** After getting an email stating they tried to call me (which they did not), I replied with a message similar to the above complaint. A few hours later I received a call from the operations manager. Finally, someone who wanted to help me. He listened to my complaint. Gave me the lower price. And is going to rush ship it as soon as it comes in. I will give a final update after I actually get the TV, but it looks like the management cares about the customers.

They sound amazing and the personal service I got, and the whole experience, was way better than when I went to Best Buy. "I went to MODIA because of a recommendation from a friend. Wow, did he underestimate when he praised the store and the salespeople! When I went in I was greeted within 15 seconds by a very nice man who smiled and introduced himself. He told me about the store layout, asked me about my home and what I was wanting to do, and volunteered to demonstrate anything that I was interested in. After he asked me to draw out my room he made a recommendation of a Sony LED TV because of the position of my windows relative to the TV. They had a few of them on display and he even knew what made one better than another! I had also wanted to discuss a surround sound system and when he began to ask me questions it was like he was reading my mind! He demonstrated some speakers, from large to small, basic to expensive, but the best thing was that I wasn’t rushed or pressured to make a decision. He told me about the history of the store and all of the different things that they could do to make my installation seamless and even hide my speakers in the wall and connect my subwoofer without wires! All of this and competitive prices too.
The installation was even better than I had hoped. The installers were personable and obviously very good at what they do. I got five speakers, installed in the wall and ceiling, a surround sound system that lets me stream my iTunes to it, a TV that gives me a great picture at an even better value, and a remote control that can even work my thermostat as well as the gear. The installers showed me how to work everything and the Control4 remote makes operating the stuff easy for even me.
Bottom line is that this store has it all. Really knowledgeable people, some of the best products around, and the ability to execute what I had envisioned. I’ll never shop anywhere else for electronics and I give them the highest rating possible."
"Around Christmas 2010 we went online and found the best price for the TV flatscreen Sony 52 inch TV we wanted. With Modia, being an approved Amazon merchant, we felt safe. Ha Ha. What a joke. This supplier didn't have any of the 4 it said were in stock. It then tried to bait and switch us to another model. When we gave a truthful review, they hounded us to remove it from Amazon. Modia promised a $200 credit toward a blue ray player. When we removed the bad review, suddenly Modia went very quiet on this myserious SCAM credit. Don't deal with them! Sharks."
"This company is a fraud and I would never do business with them after my experience. Christmas Eve I was quoted a price of $899.00 for a 2 unit floating shelf and $1499.00 for a 3 unit shelf. The shelf is for my plasma tv and to store the componets inside it. The salesperson, Chris Costner, told me at first that it only came in white. He then came back and told me it did come in black (the color I wanted). We discussed the fact that I needed to go home to measure to determine if a 2 unit or a 3 unit shelf would work and that I would see him on Monday. He wrote down the website and said to look at Block 2 and Block 3. During our discussions he said that he "strongly encouraged" me to have them install it at a fee of $600.00. I called on Monday, Dec. 27th but he was off. My son then went to the store yesterday to be told the price was $1499.00 and that we could only buy it IF we paid the additional $600.00 for them to install it.
Today we went in and met with Chris who told me the price was $1099.00. When I questioned him about it he said he looked at the wrong item. He showed me on the internet that it was $1099.00 He then called someone since I thought it s/b $899.00 - the price originally quoted. He came back and told me the best price he could do was now $1399.00. I admit I went off and called him a liar and said I was filing a complaint with the BBB. The manager asked me to leave the store and said he hoped I did file a complaint with the BBB. That is my next step. Unbelieveable!"

"After my frustrating experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone. I placed an order on June 11 for an LG TV. The offer was a free Blu-ray player with the purchase. They called and asked if they could ship the TV separatelty, as they were out of stock on the blu-ray player. Here I am almost 2 months later, and they still haven't shipped it. When calling for an update, they claim they will get back to you and never do. Avoid the headache and buy elsewhere."
