High quality prints

"When I want photo prints that look better than usual, i go to MPIX. I have not tried their wide variety of photo products other than prints, so I can't comment, but I've always been happy with their full color photo prints with the luster finish. Orders always arrive in good shape too."

"I don’t understand how anyone could give this site anything less than 5 stars; the quality of my prints were astounding, and their customer service was even better. There was a mistake in my order (from MY end - I blame mom brain) and they were quick, professional, and most importantly KIND while helping me resolve the issue. Can not recommend this site enough!!!"

"Ive been using them for years and never had an issue. Its been five years of ordering for both personal as well as business. The print qualIty is great and Ive always gotten them in a week or less. Thats even with holiday orders. Pricing isn't bad either. Its higher then walmart but the quality cant be compared. "

Dont waste your time

"I paid for expedited shipping and received about 25 of someone else's prints, and I was missing about 25 as well. They offered to pay for the missing prints but I needed all prints, and couldnt wait for a reprint from them either. I would have rathered them take their time by another day and give me the correct prints. All in all a waste of time as I needed all the prints."

Their LOGO prominent on my holiday card! It looks rediculous!

"I am sooooo unhappy with them right now. I paid my money to order their cards and they have their logo all over it along with the name of the card designer and it's so prominent on one of the sides that it overpowers that the card is from us. This is terrible!! My daughter is bawling and she is sitting there with a sharpie trying to color over their label. I am a photographer and I don't put my logo all over family holiday photos that are going on their holiday cards. They need to get their LOGO off the holiday cards. The card isn't from them and I am not sending holiday cards out as part of their free advertising. GET YOUR LOGO OFF MY CARD! "

"I've placed 4 orders with Mpix over the past 2-3 years. Mpix sent me the wrong person's photos on 2 of those four orders.

I recently placed an order for a framed print for a christmas present for a parent. I received the order around 3 days later only to find a giant framed print of some guy's wife and kids--complete with the person's name and address clearly marked on the inside packing.

I frantically tried to contact Mpix (concerned that my print would not arrive in time for christmas) only to find that Mpix does not offer phone support. In fact, they only offer email-based support to save money. Mpix failed to reply to my emails over the next few days but did sent a replacement print overnight.

I received the correct replacement framed print only to find that the white border I selected for the print were missing on 3 of the 4 sides of the print. To add insult to injury, there was a crooked white border visible on the bottom of the print. I'm not sure how anyone could possible have missed such a blatantly obvious quality control issue. I can only assume that they don't have any type of final quality control checks for their framing services.

TLDR: Mpix sent me the wrong person's prints on 2 of my last 4 orders. They ruined a christmas present by shipping a replacement framed print with crooked borders

"I've been using MPIX since 2008 for super high quality metallic prints and true black and white photos. The quality is superb and their turnaround time is fast.

I recently placed an order but had issues with three of the prints..two had some dark spots and another print which was matted wasn't cut as cleanly. They quickly responded to my email and sent out a reprint of all affected prints. Now that's customer service!!

This experience was just a one-off as I have been using MPIX the last several years and have had no issues whatsoever.

Try their metallic prints if you want to see colors shine! I will probably order a gallery wrap soon...

"I placed an order on 1/5/09 for about 35 prints, ranging from wallets to 11x14. We received the prints via USPS on 1/9/09, 4 days later. They looked great, but one of the 11x14 had a scratch on it. I emailed customer service and got a response in literally 3 minutes. After another email back, they had a reprint ordered and sent to me ASAP. That is THE FASTEST customer service I have ever received. As far as another reviewer rating them poorrly because they don't have a published phone number, I don't really see a need if they respond that quickly to electronic communication. You can't complain about a website that bases it's whole business off online printing and ordering using online communication for its customer service, especially if they are prompt about it. I will definitely use them in the future."

"I found Mpix.com through a Google search on the Internet. I was seeking a photo processing company that could produce poster-sized prints (12" x 18" and larger) but at a reasonable price; many local merchants' prices were higher than I cared to pay, or their response time to customer inquiries was unacceptably slow.

Someone recommended Mpix.com and I decided to give them a try. Mpix.com has an attractive web site and a convenient mechanism for uploading photos, but that's as good as it gets. Where Mpix.com failed me was on quality control.

The very first order I placed was back in June of 2007. I ordered two poster-sized prints, one 12" x 18" and the other, 16" x 20". That first order was done correctly. It was shipped to my P. O. Box within three days (they use the U. S. Postal Service's Priority Mail as an option).

The second order was when I began to notice problems. Requested on June 16, 2007, I ordered six poster-sized prints at a cost of almost $70. Their shippers taped all six of my prints to one piece of cardboard and secured it to the board using masking tape. Because of the weight of all the stacked prints, and the movement during shipping, several of the prints arrived with bent edges.

Mpix.com does not have a direct customer service phone number (!) because they expect you to conduct all your communications via e-mail. For any customer-oriented business, this is unacceptable. Why are they hiding behind their web site?

As a matter of fact, Mpix.com does have telephones, I happen to know. I know because I did some research on their business and found out that they are owned by Miller's Professional Imaging of Pittsburg, Kansas. When I contacted them in writing (with a 2-page letter), I did receive a phone call apologizing for the poor service. It would take several more days before my order would be correctly filled, but it eventually was. It was NOT convenient.

Fast forward to April of 2008. Figuring I would give the company another chance, I called on Mpix.com again, this time to get a single poster-sized print. The order was shipped on time, but it was wrong! Instead of a color print as I had ordered, a black & white print was shipped instead. Once again, I wrote an angry letter to the head of Miller's Professional Imaging, upbraiding them for shoddy service. Nothing appeared to have changed within a year. I would think they would have learned something in a year.

If you consider yourself a photographic professional, I would not recommend using Mpix.com or Miller's Professional Imaging. This company doesn't pay enough to details. While the company has a good-looking web site and reasonable prices, until they can get order completed accurately and dependably, I will not be using their services.
