SCAM

"I bought a catalytic converter from their vendor on eBay "macautopartsdiscounts". Basically, their product did not match what they advertise for as a "direct fit" and "no check engine light" after installation. So, thats consider false advertising and misleading for costumers. When I asked for a refund, they refused."

DO NOT BUY NON-OEM CATALYTIC COMVERTERS FROM MAC AUTO

"A buddy of mine accidently shot a 12 Ga shotgun through the floor of my 2016 Expedition hit the catalytic converter. A new OEM FORD part replacement would be about $1,000. I really couldn't afford the OEM part but was pleasantly surprised to find that MAC Auto had a non-OEM catalytic converter for about $500. I was skeptical, but that was hard to pass up. When the part came, I noticed that the actual Catalytic Converter was SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the original Ford one. Within a couple of hundred miles of installation, I started getting ODB engine code P0420. I cleared it several times, but it kept coming back every couple of hundred miles. I tried to get a refund under warranty but was told that "my problem" was caused by an improper fuel mixture or some other problem in my truck. Now, my truck was running fine before the incident and no other engine codes were given other that the P0420. I eventually sprung for the OEM Ford part and am not experiencing any further problems. DO NOT BUY NON-OEM CATALYTIC COMVERTERS FROM MAC AUTO! Instead of saving $500, I wasted $500 and had to do the very difficult and time consuming changeout twice. DO NOT BUY NON-OEM CATALYTIC CONVERTERS FROM MAC AUTO!"

No warranty at best

"Purchased a catalytic convertor and the interior portion came loose from the housing and started rattling. The convertor was still performing as designed it just rattled, a typical failure of an inferior product. Mac said there is no warranty due to an engine failure that caused the cat to go bad after 7k miles. Informed them there were no trouble codes and sent pics showing the cat was not burned but they held there ground and refunded an insulting 130 dollars on a 600 dollar cat. They were responsive to my communications but no way were they going to accept any information which confirmed their defective product. Took what they offered and will give reviews everywhere to inform people to beware."

Sent the wrong parts. Had to pay to ship them back.

"They only partially refunded the wrong parts returned AND I had to pay to ship them back. I sent them many messages asking a full refund and now they simply ignore. They are not good, also they sell cheap made in china products that do not last. I will never make business with them anymore. Do yourself a favor and spend more money for quality parts that you will buy from a trustworthy seller."

Terrible customer service

"They sent us the wrong muffler with other parts & wont refund us for the muffler we were forced to go buy because they messed up only the price of the muffler we are sending back. Which isn't my fault they didn't send the right one & I had to pay 113 for a muffler from napa to finish the job. Won't be buying from this company again. "

crooked co. beware

"I got a detective part it was under warranty so they sent me another part,it was the wrong one I sent it back ,they sent another one again the wrong one so this was a kit so I decided to ship the whole thing back ,I had to dispute this return on my credit card to get my money back. now they keep telling me to send the part back or pay 263. for the part I no longer have this is the second time I had trouble with the co after spending thousands of dollars in parts, I will now order parts from another co and suggest you do the same "

Walker Dual Exhaust Kit

"I purchased this kit for my 1995 Firebird 3.8.Now my firebird has better sound.The shipping was fast and free.The product was an exact fit except for how the tailpipes looked.The tailpipes were not center so I bought an adapter.Now my firebird sounds better and looks cool.Still a good product and was nice price."

"Avoid this crooked company! Very rude customer service. Have you noticed they turned off comments on their web site?
Perhaps so customers can't let people know how crooked they are.
Do not waste your time and money on them.

Poor Quality

"Medalion Auto Parts dba MAC Auto Parts sells poor quality parts. The catalytic converter they sold me didn't last one year before the catalyst failed and started to rattle loudly in the housing. They only offered a fraction of a refund after having had to pay for the return shipping. My recommendation is to STAY AWAY from anything related to their poor business."

Buyer beware!!!

"Do NOT do business with this company!!! They take advantage of the disabled and have extremely poor customer service. For Christmas my dad wanted some auto parts so I assisted my disabled mother in placing the order. Within a few days of placing the order we found out my sister had already bought the same auto parts. I immediately called Eckler's Industries to cancel the order. Unfortunately half the order had already shipped. The woman I spoke to in the sales department guaranteed that my mother would not be charged the $16 in shipping or for the return and that she was canceling the order and that she could just return the item. Once the item arrived, we called the company to let them know the item had been received and that we would be mailing it back. To our surprise, there was no return shipping label. So I then called the company to get resolution because my mother can't afford $16 in shipping costs plus $14.20 in shipping cost to return the product. When I called, the customer service representative was extremely snarky when I explained what we had been told about shipping. She said she would have to review the phone call and that the former representative shouldn't have advised us that my mother wouldn't be responsible for shipping. So, she then proceeded to put me on hold for 45 minutes while they supposedly pulled the call. She finally came back online and said her manager was reviewing the call and would call me back and that if we were promised that we weren't responsible for shipping then my mother would be reimbursed. Considering that was exactly what was said, I had full confidence that my mother would be reimbursed. I was then called back by Kelly and she left me a message telling me that none of this was the companies fault and they wouldn't be reimbursing anything. She never even mentioned listening to the phone call where we were promised free shipping. She proceeded to say if you have further questions call back and anyone can help you. Considering the matter is not at a resolution, I would've thought I would be able to speak to her about this matter. No such luck. I called back and the representative said I couldn't talk to this manager or any manager. It's pretty sad that when someone that is disabled like my mother makes an error and then is promised something a company like this doesn't follow through on there promises. Now my mother is out almost $30 and she is on a fixed income. I also want to add, when we placed this order, we placed it with Mac's Auto Parts but when we received emails they have been from Eckler's Industries. My dad places orders with Mac's all the time. He spends plenty of money and they are willing to lose a valued customer over $30 in shipping costs. Talk about Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Please, please be aware before you order from this company.

In this business we are willing to take the hits such as these, as there are times that we simply cannot give the customer what they want. 


I am sorry that you are not happy with the final decision but that will not change the decision.


The financial responsibility does not necessarily have to be your mothers, the different carriers that are available to return the parts will accept payment from you or your sister as well, so that your disabled mother would not have to pay the shipping back. If you and your sister split the fee,  it would hardly be noticed. It would most certainly be a relief to your mother.   


Eckler's bought Macs auto many years ago. We did not change the name, so when you place an order with Macs auto you are actually placing an order with Eckler's.

Cheap Quality Parts!! Horrible Customer Service!!

"I purchased a part from them and it ended up being defective. In order for them to warranty it under their 2 year warranty they said I had to pay the shipping to send it back and the shipping for them to ship out the replacement. So because they sold me a defective part I would have to pay $124.50 in shipping to get it replaced under warranty on a part that only cost $64.50 to buy elsewhere. In dealing with their customer service dept I made a comment about how nice it was to see how they stand behind the parts they sell and their response was thank you. I recommend you don't buy from this company!! Their parts and their customer service are both crap!! I'm sorry I ever did business with MAC Auto Parts!"

DON'T BUY FROM THEM

"Ordered a radiator that they stated they had in stock from their online site. Radiator parts came in with no radiator. Called they said it was on back order and would be in Oct 2, 2019. Waited two weeks and called again Oct 9, 2019 was told then that the radiator was discontinued. Now I have a client that needs to be at a car show in two weeks and I don't have a radiator nor did they call or email me. This is the second time they have done this type of business. Last time was with break parts for a 1940 Ford. They stated they had them but they didn't. Seems they advertise parts but don't really have them in stock. I would advise not to do business with a company that doesn't stock parts like they say they do you may find yourself in a jam with your own clients. "

Dont buy from them

"To be honest the worst Experience i had from them they send me control arm with bushing that wont fit and i send them picture they said you can return it but i had to pay for shipping Claiming the part number is Correct but for the bushing i can buy it fromsomewhere Else and everything will be ok i told them no i will return it with full refund they still refused to pay for shipping .dont buy from them "
