"I ordered 3 subscriptions on Nov 30, 2015 (Cyber Monday). Hours later an email came out with a $10 off promo code for ANY magazine. The code was not legible so another email arrived later that evening with a new code. I called early Tuesday morning saying I'd just opened my email and saw a new code for $10 off. Since the first code was unreadable, could I please get the discount since the email arrived late. The rep was pleasant and I asked that she speak to her supervisor. She came back to tell me the supervisor said I could not get the discount because it was "like buying $1000 worth of stuff at Walmart, then the next day someone giving you a $100 gift card. You can't go back and apply it to the $1000 purchase." Sorry, I don't buy this comparison. The discount code arrived in my email at 8:29 p.m. EST.....this was Cyber Monday.....promos should start at the beginning of the day, NOT the end after everyone has shopped! It's a rip off and they were unwilling to make the adjustment for their mistake on the first email which has a discount code that was not showing up in the text. I've used them for a couple years for Christmas gifts, but no longer. A discount of ten bucks would not have ruined this company, and they would have had a happy customer which is not the case."
"I have just received another offer from Magazines.com to use their service. Through MyPoints.com I have tried Magazines.com at least three times over at least 10 years. Once I ordered three magazines. Twice I ordered two magazines each time. In every case, I never received more than one of the magazines ordered and never more than one issue, although the subscriptions ran for up to one year. Each time I contacted Magazine.com and was assured my complaint would be addressed. It was not, even after more than one contact. I guess I kept trying because I am an optimist, probably just hopeful because the prices are good and I would receive points from MyPoints."
