Worst company I've done business with in a long time.

"Ordered a bare-bones kit from them, paid for assembly. First, they had a rep call me and try to upsell me a bunch of additional parts/assembly services. Annoying, but understandable.

Then I got the PC. It worked great for a month then the motherboard died. When I pulled it out one corner of it was bent at almost a 45 degree angle!

I went straight to the manufacturer of the motherboard, who informed me that the motherboard wasn't eligible for a factory replacement because it was REFURBISHED. Wait a minute - I went back to the Magic Micro website and checked the page for the kit I ordered, and my order receipt. NO-WHERE does it disclose that the motherboard is a refurb. This company is straight up lying and selling refurbished parts as new.

They agreed to let me return it for a replacement, but of course I had to pay for shipping. THAT WAS 7 WEEKS AGO. I STILL HAVE NO REPLACEMENT.

MAGIC MICRO IS AWFUL. STAY AWAY.

***UPDATE***

After seeing this review the company contacted me and finally shipped my replacement motherboard, which arrived today. So, upgrading to 2 stars. At least I got the replacement.

Moral of the story - don't shop here.

Solid Machine, but......check inside the case First

"Actually very pleased with machine, super quiet and fast (without overclocking). It arrived in a timely manner, but.....I opened up the case when it arrived and I was horrified to see that the cpu fan was NOT connected. I attached the fan and it snapped into place (the plug will only go on one way properly, and the lip does click when it is seated) When I contacted MagicMicro, the support/service staff told me that UPS must have caused the fan plug to come loose......Not buyin that. So just a warning to folks, always open you case before you power it up.

Again, I really like the machine and the deal was amazing compared to other businesses.

“Dear customer.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

You ordered bare ASUS Blue RAY 12X optical drive that comes in OEM bulk packaging.

The drive you ordered is “plug and play” drive and does not require driver installation. Like any other DVD or hard drive it just need to be physically installed and plugged in. This Blue Ray drive can be installed in variety of different PC cases or brand name computers making impossible for drive manufacture to provide installation instruction for all different cases and PC that exist. This is why PC cases and Desktop PCs come with drive installation manuals and not drive itself . Same goes for power and SATA connection. Those instructions come with power supply and motherboard respectively.

Regarding drive warranty. All manufacture warranty terms are listed on ASUS website www.asus.com under support section. Your purchase is also cover by our store warranty that it is listed on invoice included with a page. You can find our official invoice inside packing slip pouch on outside of the shipping box. If you can’t locate invoice or already discarded shipping box please contact our customer service and we email copy of your invoice

Long Build Time and Still not delivered

"The build time for this is extremely long 8 working days. No computer I have built has taken longer than 4-5 hours including testing it. Got email stating over and over that I may have missed components from the build such as operating system (no, I didn't miss it), fans (no I didn't miss it), fans again (no I didn't miss it... again) and a "tell me what you need this system for so I can help make sure it fits your needs", which is code for... "tell me what you need because you don't know what you need and I want to sell you more. I went with them because I was extremely busy and buying the components online and building it was going to take weeks. If I knew it was going to take weeks to build through MagicMicro and for them to treat me as if I knew nothing, I would have just bought the parts and built it myself.
I mean seriously, who would buy a barebones computer if they didn't realize what they needed it for. So why even think that bearbones system buyers didn't know what they were doing. They select the parts on purpose, not randomly.
